"Moderates" or "centrists" don't have fixed positions. So, you can't actually "meet them where they are" cause political discourse is constantly moving them. And if you keep trying - as Dems do - they will keep moving in the only direction they get pulled, to the right and eventually off the cliff.

apnews.com/article/supr... 6-3 conservative scotus memory holed as "liberal." A warped political compass begets a warped moral compass.

Didn't realize the extent to which the heterodox set was simply channeling the views of edgelord tech billionaires who hate liberalism. None of this was authentic folks. For truly independent, non-conformist commentary read @theunpopulist.net. www.semafor.com/article/04/2...

Nothing captures the pathologies of mainstream media quite so clearly as the intimate relationship between the New York Times and far-right activist Christopher Rufo - who relies on the NYT to launder his disingenuous crusades, has said so himself publicly, and yet they keep obliging. Great thread:

And it will work because solidarity works. If only the Dems, the left, higher ed, big law, big media, etc didn't dispose of this because such things can be seen as making them less "equally biased against the GOP"... a farcical, bs goal. A farcical, bs system, ripe for rapacious dummies to take over

Well said. The two parties share fundamentally the same values, with the Dems caring a bit less about your genitalia and sex life (but not by much apparently).

more literal cancel culture and censorship brought to you by useful idiots who propped up bad-faith actors

Remember kids, Hilary Cass will probably never hear me or you calling her a ghoulish, duplicitous traitor to science and medicine and humanity for selling trans kids out for a nice sum and a title in front of her name. But the rest of the world will, so say it with your full chest.

Hat tip to the Libertarian Party of Pinellas County, Florida.

The First Amendment only protects breaking into the Capitol and not having to hear about DEI; it doesn’t protect protesting or representing people.

Yesterday, I published an investigation into a secretive & abusive NYPD unit led by Mayor Eric Adams’ buddies. Adams has embraced the unit, the Community Response Team, even after NYPD officials raised red flags. This is what that has wrought. **All caught on video we obtained.** THREAD.

‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ If perverting the golden rule this way doesn’t sum up the evangelical, then I don’t know what does.

Congrats to Eric Adams for setting a new world record in the category making it about me

This is what actual TDS looks like

I keep saying this, but... www.readtpa.com/p/fine-lets-...

Still grimly funny to me that 4 Supreme Court justices have ruled a President can cut anything he wants... ...except student loan payments

oh my god he's Krang

Just got fired from being a freshman football coach, if you want to know what MAGA does to communities. They don’t care about what helps people, because the school is certainly not going to find an ex-NFL player willing to coach there at that level, they only care about trying to hurt people.

Check out this killer, realistic, and much-needed pep talk! Fuck the do-nothing politicians and doomers throwing their hands up

"[T]he problem is not just with right-wing libertarians abandoning the primary libertarian duty of denouncing and resisting the authoritarian state. There is also a serious problem of those on the so-called left who devote more energy to fighting liberals and Democrats than fighting actual fascists"

"When rational thought becomes impossible, raw emotion is the strongest force for many, particularly when alternative views are demonized, as is the case for supporters of modern 'conservatism.'" www.liberalcurrents.com/the-suicide-...

If you do only one thing today, read this piece. Print it out. Leave copies at your work. Send it to your friends and family. The crisis is now and this piece lays it out soberly, piece by horrifying piece, explaining the cumulative significance of each step. www.theunpopulist.net/p/trumps-ame...

OPINION: "(Jeffries') tweet wasn’t just powerless in comparison to the current political wave; it was a relative blip when compared to the vigor of dueling theocracies in this country’s history," Ken Makin writes. https://buff.ly/42ZAr9q

"Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Dan Sullivan (Alaska), Jim Moran (Kansas) and Steve Daines (Mont.) were all co-sponsors of this law. None responded to requests for comment."

these obsfuscating word-salad headlines are something else

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
