Does anyone have an answer to why publishers started using that rubbery paper stuff for book covers? Is it cheaper or something? Because they’re gross. They feel gross and after a few circulations are hella dirty.

AI peaked with Dr. Sbaitso.

I’m a little bit closer to figuring out how to breath while swimming laps. I did a few lengths before completely messing up my rhythm/panic breathing. Not sure why this is so difficult for me.

It’s beautiful.

Some people are never wrong about anything, and those people should definitely never do anything like a little introspection.

Bluesky is doing fine. You can tell because there are a ton of accounts that do little but post screenshots of other peoples’ popular posts to get likes.

My ten year old is learning “Twinkle, Twinkle” on the violin. She is helping my 7 year old figure it out on the piano. Some wholesome shit right there.

And when I win the lottery, gonna buy the house next to Mr. Red, White and Blue. And when I win the lottery, gonna buy post 306 American legion, paint it red with five gold stars.

Something to look forward to.

The Wiener 500 was rigged. The Chi dog took a dive.

This is my kid’s pair of jeans.

A Vienna beef hot dog, steamed, with a steamed poppy seed bun. Ketchup and nacho cheese. This is how I got them from the hot dog cart in my hometown as a kid, and is still my ideal version.

I incorrectly believed that the Discover tab had no algorithm and was random. So when I saw things I wasn’t interested in, I clicked on accts. to mute them. I think, though, that it’s just sending me more and more of the stuff I don’t want to see. I wish there were a “no sir, I don’t like it” button

Shoutout to Potential Spam. I admire your perseverance in a world where few people actually answer their phones.

It’s comforting to know that at least one person in this world is checking up on me — my sweetwater rep.

I saw a film trailer with Austin Pendleton in it. I’m relieved that he’s still alive and working.

Our levy passed. Good news. Now the hard work of trying to be open more hours/days with only a few more employees. But I’m shocked at how many of our citizens just don’t understand the basic predicament of how we got into this mess. No, the city just can’t “move $ around” when it doesn’t have $.

It’s a “second donut at work” kind of day.

Today’s the day when we find out if we’ll lose more than half of my coworkers at the library. And, of course, if the levy fails, each and every one of the remaining staff will be looking for new jobs as well because city leadership has already hinted at full closure of the library next fiscal year.

Photographers really like convenience stores at night after a brief rain.

This, every time I book a show.

Is it too late to give DeVito an Oscar for his Penguin portrayal?

I wonder if the Pope ever ate in the Bard’s Room.
