　　mid day zen. Those photos kinda hit me hard for some reason - lost friends? Lost life? Last night, went to a usual place, and they are hosting another NO music party next week. Looked at the owner and said, “I’m full of bad ideas, and this one screams po boys.” So, po boys will be served.

Finally got the photos that I mentioned yesterday, in a shareable format. 20 years old in these. Taken at a party on the last day of a summer job, 1980. Coincidentally, party was held at my mother’s families’ bar/restaurant (that ain’t there no mo).

One way to feel really complicated and old, is to have someone post several photos of you from (gulp!) 1980, that you had no idea existed, and your adult daughter tells you that to her shock, you were quite the good looking guy then.

Who knew that my former home state of Louisiana was full of so many rich people? Every economic indicator says last. But, given how the vast majority of House members from La voted on the big, beautiful, bill that’s wrong. And, my guess is those rich folks will re-elect them all.

Zen, 2. Ran into a friend last week who also loves Brazilian music and told her about a show that 2 other friends were having last night. She shows up and 2 songs in she’s hooked, and starts texting other friends to come. They in turn show and also keep the text train going. Had a sold out house!

Morning zen. Played tourist yesterday, and after living in Seville for 4 years, we explored the Catedral. Its a tad gaudy, but still impressive and thankfully, neither the Moors or the Catholics destroyed the work of the others.

My buddy, Max (on the leash) toward the end of his 21 year life. We then lived close to Bayou St John, and he struck a friendship with a dog we would see almost daily. Odd, because he never expressed any interest in any living thing beside my wife and me.

Morning zen. Glorious day, yesterday. Trip to Museo de Belle Artes for a photography exhibit, and got to admire the dome in one of the wings. Night cap with some fantastic samba and bossa at a Brazilian bar, capped off by a lunar landscape.
