I just heard a great interview with an Augustinian priest who explained that dependence on one another, not independence/freedom from one another, is a particular facet of Augustinian spirituality. I am so moved. Praise the Lord, o my soul.

Popes usually take their papal names based on the legacies of previous popes with that name. In choosing Leo XIV, it seems that former Cardinal Robert Prevost wants to live up to the legacy of Leo XIII, the "Pope of the Workers" who oriented the Church around social justice for the working class.
