This is on all the Senators who turned a blind eye and voted to confirm. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/09/h...

Apple’s new Liquid Glass interface seems to expose how ridiculously powerful Apple Silicon is and the amount of computing resources there are available to throw away at just making UI elements look cool.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Apple has got to be aware that they’re going to have an uphill battle to get American owners of older Apple Watches with pulse oximetry to upgrade to newer models that don’t have that, right? #Apple

Story Idea Pitch: An updated version of the classic Twilight Zone episode “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street” where the AIs provide us false info in our search engine results which reinforce our confirmation biases until we lose all faith in facts and truth and ultimately destroy ourselves.

I'm loving Andor, but is it just me or does Diego Luna resemble a former Beatle?

1) Enough wealth already exists to power a post-scarcity society in which everyone has their needs more than met. 2) Gross inequality of late-stage capitalism keeps much of that wealth in a few hands. 3) Those with the wealth are desperate to destroy democracy before everyone realizes 1 & 2.

Let's be crystal clear about what Musk did: ✅gave unqualified tech bros access to sensitive govt systems ✅fired thousands of hard working Americans ✅eviscerated critical agencies like the National Weather Service & Social Security ✅grabbed fat contracts for himself apnews.com/article/elon...

Jane Borden's "Cults Like Us: Why Doomsday Thinking Drives America" develops a simple thesis: The Pilgrims were essentially a doomsday cult who passed on seven key elements of belief that have shaped America ever since. My author interview: 1/13 www.salon.com/2025/05/26/h...

After devastating USAID, is there any reason why whenever mentioning him, we shouldn’t always refer to him as “Mass murderer Elon Musk”?
