"these little statements point to the moral rot at the core of Trumpism, which every day disgraces our country, which we are proud of & love. Trumpism can be seen as a giant attempt to amputate the highest aspirations of the human spirit & to reduce us to our most primitive, atavistic tendencies."

There is an Elon Musk post on X, his social media platform, that should define his legacy. “We spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper,” he wrote on Feb. 3. He could have “gone to some great parties. Did that instead.”

The press continues to credulously report that Elon Musk is "leaving" the White House. The first rule of writing about Musk: His words are meaningless. There are 20 years of Musk's broken promises. Be skeptical, folks. www.salon.com/2025/05/30/e...

Given how much real world pain he's inflicted, it's insane that he managed to get a round of press coverage mostly focusing on not saving as much money as he promised and positioning his return to Tesla as some sort of chance at Wall Street purification.

Trump is so lost in his own web of lies, he even admitted that China played him this morning.

Everyone assumes Musk's real goal was to steal all the data and create back doors into all of the government systems, and maybe he has, but I kind of suspect for him to pull all that off flawlessly might take more competence than he's ever shown previously.

Great piece on Musk’s drug use in NYT, now do Trump. I promise you Elon isn’t the only one on Adderall in the White House. Follow up at their joint presser with a question about last Trump term’s WH Pharmacy and his drug chronic addiction. Ask about Doc Ronnie, I dare you, MSM.

Musk cuts to USAID have already killed 300,000 people around the world, most of them children. So when they (Christofascist freaks) talk about ‘we need more babies’ what they mean are first world white babies.

It’s important to give Florida positive feedback sometimes

To quote my wife Jennifer, “White guys will believe anything another white guy says.”

This is a great thread outlining what happened with Unbound, who published the first two Effin' Birds books, which they then sublicensed to a US publisher — that means they collected my US royalties, took a cut, and passed the rest to me. They owe me as much as I made in a year at my old day job.

I think there should be a universally recognized “no guilt trip” amnesty for cancelling plans you agreed to more than six months ago. Like, I have lived several lives since January and I’ve grown old and weary and I mean yes, congrats on the wedding and stuff but listen…

Here are the Top 5 Dogs of the week!

Going to guess whoever was the main source for the manic Musk drug story liked him fine when he was hitting Africa with murderous cost cuts, not as much when he was taking his wife.

I’ve never seen a dissent like this (on SCOTUS stripping away the asylum parole of nearly 500K human beings on the emergency docket) utexas.app.box.com/s/fkvbpqvf8w...

Analysis | The many court rulings against Donald Trump could have a chilling effect on future presidents' ability to fuck around with the government to see what they can get away with.

Opinion | Our porous borders have allowed too many thieves and drug addicts to infiltrate our country. by Elon Musk

Trump lied about the number of undocumented immigrants, so now he has to *create* them by stripping LEGAL immigrants of their status so he has someone to disappear. And the oligarchs on the Supreme Court are helping him.

LOL my own text message service just sent me this #nailedit

Removing 500,000 people, many of whom have jobs and contribute to the nation's economy, is gonna be a hell of a blow to the country, but, hey, at least those brown people will suffer.

NEW: Less than a year after closing a loophole that enabled White House staff to avoid accountability for violating the Hatch Act’s bans on politicization in the federal workplace, the Office of Special Counsel has rescinded that historic decision.

GOP Sen. Joni Ernst responds to voters saying that cutting Medicaid will kill them: “Well, we all are going to die.”

"Trump's government lawyers are brazenly changing their arguments on the fly — often in front of the same court — when faced with a loss or ruling that they don’t like. Indeed, maximizing Trump’s power might be this administration’s only consistent position." — @snipy.bsky.social
