We’re having the best time! Julie, who is very sporty, talked me (Jessica, not sporty) into paddle boarding today. It was gorgeous! Until a boat of tourists went by, Julie accidentally ran into me, and 20 German tourists saw me go flying. They will have a funny story to tell their friends.

We've started describing our place in Slovenia as "Like a fairytale you can swim in." And that's lucky, because it is hot! (We have AC, happily.) Can't wait to greet our writer guests!

Feeling full of gratitude after my @manuscriptacademy.bsky.social 15-minute query and page read with Kelly. So much info packed into those 15 (ish, whoops) minutes. Energized and excited to apply what I learned. Now to tackle the puzzle that is softening the ending so the book can stand on its own.
