Spot has had a stressful 24hrs with car rides and vet visits. But it’s all downhill from here sweet girl! We’ve got the medicines she needs and she’s all settled in with lots of yummy food and cozy places to sleep. And we found out there are 2 babies in that belly almost ready to make their debut!

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time!! You only need a small space like a bathroom or a place to put a playpen, and we can match you up with any age/experience level, all supplies and vet care is covered by the rescue. You can make a huge difference for kittens & cats like these.

Last night we were out so late it became early 🙃 trying to round up the kittens living under a wood shed at Final Fantasy colony. We got two pretty quick but the third got wise to the trap & stuck close to mom until we just had to call it. In the meantime, meet Tifa (torbie) & Aerith (tabico).

The attorney general has no idea how the Supreme Court operates

The SCOTUS decision is worse than anyone imagined. And not even because of birthright citizenship. The majority is making geography an issue of life and death for political minorities. This is house-divided-against-itself level stuff. www.thebulwark.com/p/the-suprem...

Attorney General Pam Bondi: “You should all feel safer now that President Trump can deport these gangs.” She hails SCOTUS clearing the way to gut birth-right citizenship. She is giddy today about what's to come...

The country will lose an estimated $500 billion in incoming revenue this year alone due to cuts at the IRS. And that's just one example of harm of DOGE's cuts. We compiled a whole lot more here:

Democratic AGs are in court defending your constitutional rights. Republican AGs aren’t. That’s not just politics, it’s dangerous . A baby born in Connecticut 30 days from now is a citizen. But what happens if they visit Texas? Rights shouldn’t change by ZIP code.

Let's challenge Kash's fitness to be FBI Director then.

Today, the Supreme Court majority chose to limit courts' ability to strike down unconstitutional policies nationwide. By weakening the judicial branch's role as a check on the executive branch, this ruling will do real harm to our democracy and the rule of law.

@jaketapper.bsky.social couldn’t help himself but to join in on the military gay bashing.

Everyone celebrating the consolidation of power in the Executive Branch and the erosion of acceptance in our schools, please remember that a political movement based on exclusion constantly needs new groups to exclude. Try not to complain when they eventually turn on YOU.

Trump claims that his big bill will make Medicaid "perfect" (it will in fact toss millions off the program)

“Why are Republican AGs, to be explicit, not a part of these lawsuits that are blatantly violating the Constitution and blatantly outside of the authority the president has?” - Connecticut Attorney General William Tong

The Navy named a destroyer after Oscar Peterson in 1943, one year after he died. Pretty sure his family was aware of that honor even if Jake Tapper was not.

Trump on California: "They have plenty of water. They don't have droughts or anything."

“Regardless of how you feel about the 14th Amendment—pick the amendment you like, the First, the Second, whatever it is—if we allow the president to dismantle the 14th by executive order, he can do it to any other amendment.” - Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell

MUST WATCH: Oceanside CA: Militarized DHS (HSI) smashed windows, assault rifles drawn, tossed flashbangs and sent drones into the apartment which had 2 kids inside. They then told neighbors they were going to use tear gas, and they’d probably be exposed. Please share widely. WTF

Tapper writes this without acknowledging that Milk himself served in the US Navy during the Korean War, or that Milk was assassinated while serving honorably in public office

Watch the people we entrust to keep us appraised of our government’s actions debase themselves for All Mighty Content And they don’t even care enough to realize it

Q: Is that July 9 date set to tariffs to snap back? TRUMP: No. We can do whatever we want. We can extend it.

DIDN'T TAKE LONG: One group suing over Trump's birthright citizenship order has refiled its lawsuit as a class action, noting that the court left open this option for nationwide relief. They're asking a Maryland judge for an emergency restraining order. www.politico.com/live-updates...

Since RFK Jr.'s appointment, NIH has axed 1,900+ grants, including many focused on pediatric health. Although a federal court recently ordered some to be restored, scientists express deep concern about long-term consequences for understanding kids' health zurl.co/Q2EQI

If I'm running a news room now, I assign everyone who has done piece on Biden's final-years fitness-to-govern, and have them apply same standards here. (Once heard Bill Clinton give 45-minute ad-hoc on what diff *counties* in Arkansas had done in Civil War. Trump doesn't know WHAT YEAR it was.)

Birthright citizenship is “as close to a national self-definition as we have; it is our legal DNA,” David W. Blight argued in January. “One cannot overstate the gravity of Trump’s proposed action, nor the historical ignorance on which it stands.”

“I can recall no similar case when the signature legislation of a new president and his party in Congress had the support of only 29% of the public. Even Democrats in Disarray should be able to run successfully in 2026 against Republican members of Congress on it.” www.thebulwark.com/p/the-public...

Breaking: An organization representing immigrants fighting Trump's birthright citizenship order just recalibrated its legal strategy. CASA Inc. is asking a federal judge for an emergency block on Trump's policy and says it has refiled its broader lawsuit as a class action case.

“You know what would help a lot? Some elite disapproval—publicly and boldly expressed. While a successful democracy depends on some degree of reasonableness from voters, a successful liberal democracy also depends on responsibility and even courage from elites.” www.thebulwark.com/p/the-public...

Scratch UVA off the list of schools I will recommend my kids attend.

This is why reporters wanted him to win. They don’t mind all the death, destruction, and suffering as long as they get to ask him questions (that they then don’t follow up on)

When I ran for the US Senate I said we needed to reform the Supreme Court and expand it to preserve the rule of law. Many called me crazy. I was fucking right.

I have said many times that he couldn’t pass a 7th grade US history exam. He proves it daily. bsky.app/profile/atru...

🚨NEW: The Trump admin moves to terminate Temporary Protected Status for HALF A MILLION Haitians, claiming despite all reality that Haiti is a safe country to return to — even though large portions of the country are ruled by vicious gangs and civil governance has collapsed.

Montana cut same-day voter registration hours on Election Day, and Native voters are fighting back. The ACLU just joined a lawsuit challenging the law, saying it targets Indigenous communities that rely on same-day registration to cast their ballots. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

In a 6-3 ruling today, the Supreme Court held that President Trump can have the Supreme Court summarily executed if he really wants to.

The Supreme Court just ruled that states can block Planned Parenthood from Medicaid — and patients can’t sue. Christian nationalists win, women and low-income patients lose. This isn’t justice. It’s religious favoritism at the highest level.

Important piece about a setback after so much progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Horrific

The birthright citizenship / nationwide injunctions ruling will (and should) get most of the headlines. But it's shaping up to be another *very bad* day for the Fifth Circuit (at the end of a very bad term) at #SCOTUS.

More and more I understand this moment as reverse Reconstruction.

I KNOW THIS ONE!!
