So I started a newsletter... at long last. If you like my skeets, tweets, and work, please give me a follow at DISTANT WORLDS on Ghost. I'll share tidbits from my WIP, short prose, and other sundry nerd things. Check it out here: distant-worlds.ghost.io

The new Fantastic Four movie looks fun, but it definitely feels like a missed opportunity as far as the visuals. The only thing 60s feeling are the extras, their home, and watches. Everything else from the monster, to their ship interior, to their uniforms looks modern.

I will always admit Raising Arizona is my favorite movie.

Think what you will about the actual movie, but boy did Apogee kill it with the special effects for Space Balls. Top notch late 80s miniature work (and mattes).

She has a name! There are three known Daedalus class vessels: Essex, Horizon, and Archon. I printed decals for all of them. But I went with Stalwart, the ship from my fan fiction comic “No Good Deed”.

My grandfather worked on the F -104 program. He gave me this tie-tack when I was far too young to wear a tie! #TOSSatNight

Adding subtle weathering to the Daedalus class with soft pastel scrapings and a brush. I just want to bring out the details on the paneling, not make it totally disheveled like the 11 foot Enterprise. The top nacelle on the last pic is weathered while the bottom one is not, just for comparison.
