Edwin’s right (as usual).

Chicago will fight this tooth and nail.

This is exactly what the Trump regime wants — universities taking on the task of crushing dissent.

"When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers.” —African proverb

If only the New York Times had made this big of a deal in December 2022 when Trump called for “termination” of the Constitution. (That ran on Page 13. Yes, Page 13.)

The New York Times thinks Trump-Musk was “always the most unlikely of alliances.” Because con artists never work with other con artists to hoodwink the public, right? Right? Oh, I guess they do, which shows the NYT is clueless about what’s happened to this country.

Best friends forever.

Jim Banks is such a suck-up that other suck-ups don’t know whether to be embarrassed or jealous.

Today’s Trump-Musk tirades aren’t boosting the argument that women are too emotional for politics.

"We cannot build bananas in America" is an all timer

Deeply embarrassing every day.

People compare Sen. John Kennedy to Foghorn Leghorn, but I think he’s more like Mr. Haney on the old TV show “Green Acres.”

Vladimir Putin’s plot to use a huckster criminal to erode American values and destroy U.S. credibility overseas is one of the most spectacularly successful covert operations in world history.

Every day, Trump and his criminal gang take us closer to a dictatorship. Make plans to attend a “No Kings” protest on Saturday, June 14, to strengthen the resistance. Do it for the future of your family.

Trump is screwing around with consumer price data collection just as his tariffs start to push up prices. Which is exactly what a dictator would do.

Here’s a rare member of the U.S. Senate who seems to understand how close we are to a dictatorship.

This is the kind of country Republicans want. This is the kind of country the rest of us need to fix.

BREAKING: French dock workers in Fos-sur-Mer refused today to load machine gun ammo destined for Israel's army

The great @rexhuppke.bsky.social on how Hegseth's attempts to act macho make him look like a total coward www.usatoday.com/story/opinio...

The Trump regime is punishing states that won’t support a dictatorship.

Republicans don’t want you to believe the analysis of nonpartisan professionals about their disastrous tax bill. They want you to believe the GOP’s professional liars instead.

When “diversity of viewpoints” means platforming neo-Nazis.

On Inauguration Day, my Stop the Presses newsletter listed 12 signs to look for if you wanted to determine whether a dictatorship had arrived. One of those was: “Fictional government statistics.” And here we have the Trump regime messing with a farm trade report. 1/

Our military is run by Christofascists who have declared war on their own people.

"none of us should have to worry that this president or the next is going to sell it off to the highest bidder because it's our land." This is SO good. A really deep dive from @akilahhughes.com into Trump's National Parks scheme. Watch/ Share & call your MoC to push back. youtu.be/SzvrN9TTOG8?...

The Trump regime is breaking the law every day.

Look this is pathetic but instructive because it’s not just about this lame creep it’s about the Overton window continuing to be moved so quickly by Trump’s criminality and lawlessness that bad people have reassessed their previous actions against the metric of “you can get away with anything.”

The rule of law, everybody

We’re not going to sway the MAGA cult by pointing out Trump’s racism, sexism and criminality. Apparently, they’re good with that. But if we focus on how his policies hurt regular people on issues like health and the economy, we might have a chance to loosen his grip. My Stop the Presses newsletter.

In an excellent AP story about Trump’s public health disaster, the name “Trump” doesn’t appear until the 2nd sentence of the 4th paragraph, and it shows up just once in the first 20 paragraphs. Does this let Trump off the hook? No, but perhaps it avoids triggering MAGA’s “fake news” response.

When Joni Ernst says “we want to protect the most vulnerable,” I’ll bet she’s thinking, “But the 2nd and 3rd most vulnerable — they can just die and stop taking money away from my rich donors.”

It’s a routine act of media cowardice to attribute facts to “critics” or “Democrats” instead of just stating them as true. This Politico story shows how GOP Medicaid cuts go far beyond “waste, fraud and abuse,” yet the sentence starts “Democrats have argued …” www.politico.com/live-updates...

Americans have few ways to fight back against the oligarchs. The boycott is one of them. That’s why fascist Republicans — in the oligarchs’ pockets — are attacking our power to organize boycotts.

This is really, really good!
