With the recent news that the Metropolitan Police War Crimes Unit is investigating 10 British citizens accused of war crimes in Gaza, it is vital we in Scotland take action to hold anyone who has taken part in these crimes is held to account.

Communities in Perthshire showed majority public support for a new Tay Forest National Park with 56.8 per cent of respondents to Perth and Kinross Council’s eight week consultation agreeing or strongly agreeing with the proposal. This was despite facing similar aggressive counter campaigns [like

As one Scottish by-election closes, another swims into focus. The Fountainbridge-Craiglockhart contest on 26 June is arguably the most competitive in Scotland and I’m proud of the work the @edinburghgreens.bsky.social team is doing on behalf of @scottishgreens.org candidate @qmanivannan.bsky.social

If Minister's think that Bannock Burn is worth saving from development, why does the same not apply to Loch Lomond? It's sheer hypocrisy. Tell them to use their powers to say no to Flamingo Land here: greens.scot/LochLomond

My statement on #WorldEnvironmentDay: The Natural Environment Bill is a vital step toward rebuilding Scotland’s ecosystems. We pushed for this while we were in Government, with ambitious targets for nature recovery, woodland and peatland creation, and better protection for our marine environments

On #WorldEnvironmentDay I asked the First Minister to push forward plans to link Scotland to France by ferry, providing cheaper and cleaner transport for people and goods to mainland Europe.

🥀 Labour MP urging the party's Government to alter its values due to child poverty highlights a lack of ambition to alleviate poverty. 🟢 @ScottishGreens.org delivered 🚅 scrapping peak rail fares 🍛 more free school meals 🚌 free bus travel for young people buff.ly/hFHAc2r

We have enough wealth to invest in public services and end injustices like child poverty, but too much is concentrated among a few. Progressive property taxes ensure the wealthiest pay their fair share. The Tories, Labour, and SNP all voted against this. buff.ly/0DkvA7O

I joined colleagues across Parliament to support @SCIAF.bsky.social's call for #DebtJustice. Too many nations are trapped by debt, unable to invest in health, education, or climate resilience. We urgently need a fairer global system. #Jubilee2025 #DebtJustice #TurnDebtIntoHope

By scrapping plans for the third national park in Galloway, the Scottish Government has slammed the door on the economic investment and new powers this designation could bring. This is devastating news for the local community and nature. Read the article here: www.scotsman.com/news/politic...

Thanks to @markruskell.bsky.social for joining us to chap on doors in Dunfermline today! Lots of people really scunnered by politics at the moment, and who can blame them? If you want to help us pitch our positive vision to voters ahead of #Holyrood26, drop me a message!

The decision to scrap the promised National Park for Galloway is the culmination of lack of confident political leadership and the dangerous influence of powerful vested interests. Read the article here: buff.ly/AmfwQNz

The current Housing Bill is a watershed moment in the Scottish Parliament. Thanks to the @ScottishGreens.org it will deliver controls on rent increases and new rights and protections for renters.

Wealthy people buying up properties they won’t live in are pushing out young families in particular. These houses either lie empty for most of the year as holiday homes, or they are hoarded by landlords making a fortune from Airbnb-style short term lets. Either way, its first-time buyers who are

My column in the @scotnational.bsky.social today. A new national park for Scotland was not a fringe idea; we listened to communities who had spent years campaigning for them. When @ScottishGreens.org entered government my colleague @LornaSlater.bsky.social kicked off a nationwide bid process to

A Galloway National Park was a once in a generation opportunity for local communities to deliver investment in tourism, the local economy, nature and transport while taking control over planning for forestry and wind farm development. All that has been lost because of a failure of government and

I asked the Scottish Government what action it will take to support trans people following the recent Supreme Court ruling, in light of reported concerns from trans people, and their friends, family and allies that it undermines the rights and risks the personal safety of trans individuals.

🦩The #FlamingoLand decision isn’t set in stone yet. Until it is, Scottish Government ministers have the power to change the decision. That’s why we need as many people as possible to write to Planning Minister Ivan McKee, telling him he needs to act now. Add your name: greens.scot/LochLomond

My column in the Stirling Observer today where I highlight how and why we need to improve and make better use of our public transport systems #BuyAPaper

🦩 Add your voice and let the government know they must #SaveLochLomond greens.scot/LochLomond

The current Housing Bill is a watershed moment in the Scottish Parliament. However, it must go further to tackle the vast inequality gap that we see between the rich and the vulnerable in Fife. The Scottish Government must listen to us and act boldly to stop the hollowing out of our communities.

Our two existing National Parks have shown just how valuable the status can be, bringing huge benefits and investment to the local environment, wildlife, economy and community.

Cats or dogs? Either way, renters should be able to keep a furry companion (or two!) without restrictions from their landlords.

🗣️ My statement on plans to designate a National Park in Galloway, which the SNP are expected to scrap this week: Any decision to scrap or delay the Galloway National Park would be a disaster for local nature and communities. Scotland’s two current National Parks, the Cairngorms and Loch Lomond &

My column in the Perthshire Advertiser today covers the introduction of my Bill to end greyhound racing in Scotland for good. #BuyAPaper

Delighted to read about this important work on biodiversity taking place Bamff Estate.

ICYMI last week I spoke in the Scottish Greens second home debate in the Scottish Parliament, highlighting the impact on communities across Mid Scotland and Fife.

Images of the recent wildfires across Scotland are harrowing, Forests ablaze, scorched earth stripped of its nature, and homes and businesses put at risk. The impact to our environment, its fragile ecosystems, and the plant and wildlife that rely on it, is severe. In 2019, a wildfire on Europe’s

❗Please back the Bill to ban greyhound racing in Scotland❗ 🤝 We need your help to rally support for @markruskell.bsky.social Greyhound Racing (Offences) (Scotland) Bill👇 🔵For those in Scotland: bit.ly/UtGScotland 🌍Or anywhere else in the world: bit.ly/UtGInternati... #UnboundTheGreyhound

🐝 Delighted to see a buzz around my motion in the Scottish Parliament for #WorldBeeDay, with lots of support from other MSPs.

📣 Net zero is booming in Scotland. 📈 Having grown 20% since 2022, it's now providing over 100,000 jobs and makes up nearly 5% of the economy. All while helping us lower climate emissions. 💚 Net zero is crucial for the environment and offers significant economic potential.
