If I – as a U.S. Senator and Vice Chair of the Intelligence Committee – have no answers on what this administration’s policy is when it comes to Iran, what signals does that send to our allies? To our foes?

Donald Trump is failing on immigration, lowering costs, and ending wars.

If there’s one thing we know about the Middle East, it’s a lot easier to start a war than end one. Does Trump have the temperament to handle this situation with the skill it requires?

Reminder that months after sharing war plans with family members and random journalists, authorizing a make-up studio in the Pentagon, and now greenlighting a $45 million+ parade with taxpayer dollars… Pete Hegseth has faced zero accountability. He should resign or be fired.

It’s telling that an administration that promised transparency is aggressively targeting news outlets that have held power to account. We must protect funding for NPR & PBS.

Virginia – we have primary elections today. Make your voice heard before polls close at 7 pm!

$45 million+ in taxpayer funds for a military parade that was sparsely attended and did nothing to ensure our servicemembers are ready for the new challenges emerging abroad… to distract Americans from Trump’s $2.4 trillion tax scam. How completely irresponsible.

I’m using every break in the Senate schedule I can to talk to folks in Virginia about the rising costs of housing and child care. We need to make these essentials affordable for all Virginians.

Trump creates constant chaos at home and abroad… but folks in all 50 states protested this weekend to say we are a stronger nation than his constant hate and discord.

Great to be with some of the people making their voices heard across the country today! We will keep peacefully protesting this administration’s unlawful actions!

My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of this horrible violence in Minnesota. Political violence should have no place in America — this is a tragic, senseless act.

Another great day across the Valley hearing from Virginians.

Glad to hear from incredible local child care providers (and kids!) in Harrisonburg today. We need to ensure providers have robust federal support and that families have convenient and affordable child care options.

Town hall this morning in Winchester. Folks are mad about this big, ugly bill and its cruel cuts to Medicaid and food assistance — I was glad to listen and talk about my work fighting it.

What happened to Senator Padilla is horrifying. When will this administration stop with its authoritarian overreach?

What kind of world do we live in where a sitting Senator can’t ask a question of a public official without being dragged away and handcuffed? This footage is outrageous — it’s something I’d expect out of an authoritarian nation, not the United States of America.

Met with the bright and brave Virginians attending our service academies this morning… they deserve more than Donald Trump’s endless attempts to politicize our military.

I'm heartbroken by the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. My deepest condolences to the families of those lost aboard the flight and on the ground. The U.S. stands with the people of India during this devastating time.

This Saturday, the Trump administration is hosting its “Grand Military Parade” — all bankrolled by hardworking taxpayers. Let’s call it what it is – a self-indulgent birthday bash for Donald Trump and unacceptable politicization of our military.

Trump’s comments on phasing out FEMA are incredibly dangerous. Ending support for communities recovering from natural disasters with no plan in place would be catastrophic.

Trump’s politicization of the military is frightening and dangerous.

Trump claimed tariffs were a genius idea to bring back American manufacturing and get trade deals. Months in, there’s not a single finalized deal and American companies are laying off workers instead.

We’re seeing rising evidence of cyberattacks against our health care systems. I’ve been raising the alarm about this for years – these novel threats have the potential to kneecap our hospitals and delay lifesaving care, and we need to be ready to face them.

The Republican tax plan is actually very, very simple: kick millions off their health care to offset some of the huge cost of giving a massive tax break to billionaires. Finance the rest of that huge tax break by exploding the deficit.

My reaction to the situation in LA.

Trump has fired: VA employees Top national security officials Folks that screen miners for black lung Researchers preventing kids from getting addicted to tobacco … but thinks a birthday parade that will inconvenience thousands of Virginians is a good use of taxpayer money?

I want to honor the sacrifices of our servicemembers with better pay, housing, and child care. Donald Trump wants to honor his own birthday with an extraordinarily expensive and inconvenient military parade.

Directly defying the wishes of local leadership and law enforcement will only upset an already delicate situation. Trump’s decisions to federalize local protests are just another example of his desperate need to expand his own power over Americans’ wishes.

I am sending best wishes to all Virginians observing Eid al-Adha! I was grateful to be able to celebrate with members of our Sudanese American community in Alexandria tonight – and I’ll continue pressing for peace in the tragic conflict in Sudan as well.

Thousands of staff members and low-income students are left in the lurch by this administration’s cruel cuts to Job Corps centers. This administration continues to give a middle finger to the most vulnerable Americans – but we will keep fighting back.

Steady, competent leadership!

Rents and mortgages are out of control. Here’s my plan to build a ton of new homes, lower your costs, and end the housing crisis: PART ONE

The Republican tax bill will throw 16 MILLION off their health insurance and add $2.4 trillion to the deficit. Just how big is $2.4 trillion? If you were counting to it, it would take over 76,000 years (counting continuously, day and night, a number a second).

The blatant graft and open corruption of this administration is beyond belief.

Democrats used reconciliation to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which will lower the deficit by hundreds of billions. Republicans are using it to try and pass a bill that would add trillions to the debt in order to give a tax cut to billionaires.

The Republican tax plan will explode our deficit. The Trump administration is lying when they talk about cutting waste, fraud, and abuse. They’re saddling our kids and grandkids with an accelerating debt spiral while throwing millions off their health insurance.

The administration that promised truth and transparency… is going after news outlets it doesn’t like and pressuring officials to change or delay independent assessments that are politically hurtful.

This Republican tax bill is literally life-or-death stuff. Kicking millions of Americans off their health care doesn’t just raise costs. It means people delay or deny essential care. It means Americans will die of preventable illnesses.

Met with folks from PTAs across Virginia yesterday – here’s what they had to share with me.

My thoughts today are with the victims of the despicable antisemitic attack in Colorado, and their families. Acts of hate like this have no place in our society, and I stand unequivocally with the Jewish community in opposing antisemitism and bigotry in all its forms.

Another day of rank incompetence from this administration. www.reuters.com/world/us/dhs...

The Republican tax bill is just an enormous cut to the health care of millions to give a tax break to a handful of the wealthiest Americans. I’ll be fighting it with everything I have got.

Tens of thousands of Virginia jobs could be on the chopping block because of this dumb Republican tax bill.

Happy Pride Month! All month long, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and culture of our incredible LGBT+ community.

Too many families are getting squeezed by the spiraling costs of rents and mortgages. Good to convene leaders from across Williamsburg to talk about tackling one of the biggest crises America is facing: the severe shortage of affordable housing.

The courts are saving the Trump administration from itself and saving American businesses and families from these cruel taxes. If we know anything about this admin, though, they’ll stop at nothing to inflict more cruelty and bad policy. I’ll keep fighting their chaos.

Why aren’t Vietnam veterans being honored this year at their own memorial, for the first time in three decades? Because Donald Trump is using the space to throw himself a birthday parade instead. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

Spent the afternoon hearing from small business owners at Falls Church’s Eden Center. Their message is clear: tariff chaos hurts them and everything they’ve worked so hard to build. I’m going to keep fighting Trump’s tax hike on families and small businesses.
