Pretty anxious week. My sleep schedule hasn't been a schedule at all and I just sleep when I'm exhausted. Surprisingly no health problems, though! Guess I managed to distract myself enough with some digital archeology.

I don't usually like speculating on dates/timeframes for things, but it's feeling kind of insane that external Midnight testing could start as soon as like 3 months from now if pre-patch has housing and is still intended to go live this year as per the last roadmap. Doesn't feel right...

In regards to the store for housing. Curious if they'll end up using actual cash, Tender or a new currency you can buy. The latter could also be something you earn in-game (like Tender but through housing activities) so you could potentially buy things without real cash, albeit probably limited.

Wanted to post this on main timeline too; I think the love, excitement, and care Blizz is putting into player housing is showing more than I've ever seen before in a WoW system/feature/expansion. There's something about how extensively thought-out things already seem to be, especially after today.

Blizzard is embracing the TARDIS-problem/feature depending on how you see it with very large neighborhood zones that fit inside much smaller zones, and very large interiors that fit in much smaller exteriors. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, but ohman do I wish some of those cons didn't exist.

Back in 2021 I backed an Indiegogo for a Star Trek Voyager documentary by the same people that made "What We Left Behind" (ST:DS9 documentary). Today they delivered and I'm very glad that I backed it at the time. Even with the setbacks they had making it during a pandemic, the result is pretty good.

So that tax bill took 700 EUR out of my savings, but with my various cancellations/downgrades this month I should be able to squeeze out ~100 EUR next month (including new mortgage) which should leave my savings as is. So far no need to pick up another job/figure out more income. For now, at least!

Clearing out the wow.tools box as much as possible without breaking the archive/any of the remaining site functionality just to make sure I have everything before killing it. Bit sad, this box has done and stored so much for me over the years. The hardware has been through absolute hell, too. 😔
