Aaaand there it is.

Linda McMahon, Secretary of Education, sent Harvard a letter. They graded it. Bwahahaha.

Everyone in the past was neurotypical, which is how we got things like this single-author, eight-volume encyclopedia of ferns

As the economic news keeps coming out over the coming weeks keep one thing in mind: this is the fault of one man and didn’t need to happen.

Would like to report some gang tattoos.

NEBRASKA CROWD: “TAX THE RICH! TAX THE RICH!” @USRepMikeFlood: “So your proposal to solve (the debt) is tax the rich?” NEBRASKA CROWD: *CHEERS WILDLY* (not sure this went quite as he planned 😬)

The fight going on in the Democratic Party right now is not between hard left, left and moderate. It’s between those who want to fight and those who want to cave. And Team Fight stretches across all ideological aspects of the Party. Misread this at your own peril.

A YES on cloture is a YES for the bill. Do not let anyone play games with you.

When AOC and Adam Kinzinger are both furious at Chuck Schumer, for the exact same reason, maybe you need to give up the idea this is just a backlash coming from far left activists.

Did you hear that the much trumpeted mission to house 30,000 immigrants at Guantanamo Bay has completely failed and ended? Nah...they don't want you to know they burned over $16M for 290 people. But they got the pictures! Really. My latest. open.substack.com/pub/fpwellma...

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN. ☎️: (202) 224-3121 Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid. The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING. Call retiring Senators too!

AOC: It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we've been sent here to protect social security, protect medicaid, and protect medicare.

They estimate this operation has cost the U.S. over $16M which is low because it doesn't count the photo op flights in and out by Kristi Noem and Pete Hegseth. They built 1600 tents that ICE can't use because they are inhumane. My latest. Subscribe for free! open.substack.com/pub/fpwellma...

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Democratic Leaders Stand Real Still In Hopes No One Notices Them

Grow a spine, Chuck.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Meiselas: That’s our message to you from the MeidasTouch Network: Grow a spine. Vote against cloture. Vote against the CR. The American people are with you. Stop this hostile government takeover. Fight for the people.

"the plan to shrink IRS staff by up to 50% would — very conservatively — lead to a $400 billion increase in uncollected taxes over the next decade. It could easily mean more than $2 trillion in losses..." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

one thing i keep thinking about is how there is simply no way to design a constitutional system that can resist authoritarian incursion if participants in that system do not actually care that much

Tesla stock has now erased all of the gains that it has made since the election. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Fact-check: True

Once again I am suggesting that you break some rules for practice. Get comfortable with breaking rules. When the rules are hurting other people, the right thing to do is break them. We need people who follow their moral code over the rules of their society, university, employer, and government.

Holy shit! In plain sight…

For folks looking for work in the forest/watershed management sector: The Sierra Institute (in beautiful Plumas County, CA) is hiring: sierrainstitute.us

We're gonna move fast and break things. Sometimes we'll make mistakes. If we remove the wrong organ we'll put it back in. We are disrupting surgery

you’re fired. wait you’re rehired. email us a list of things you’ve done today wait forget it you’re fired again. come back your job was important. you’re fired. or hired. come in to the office. wait the office has no computers go home. we are the department of government efficiency.

“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Since Congress’s allotted funds have already been improperly unallocated, U.S. citizens are questioning whether they are legally required to continue paying federal taxes.

Trudeau: I want to speak first directly to the American people… your government has chosen to do this to you. Your government has chosen to put American jobs at risk. They have chosen to raise costs for American consumers on everyday essential items…

everyone seeing how when you takeaway the DEI the planes start falling out of the sky

Congrats @meidastouch.com !!! www.newsweek.com/meidas-touch...

Our German supporters made us realize we made a mistake, and we want to acknowledge it. Germany, you’re in our thoughts. While we’re relieved that AfD was defeated, we understand this is not a moment for celebration. There is still much work ahead, and we stand in solidarity with you.

@chrismurphyct.bsky.social why are you not posting on here first ? You have some great things to say. You are trying some great things. Yet you post on X where 100pct of the replies are meaningless and hateful. It's not all roses here, but the engagement has depth and real convos happen

Are you bored tonight? Send your five accomplishments, maybe your shopping list, or your five thoughts on Elon from the past week to OPM at [email protected].

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Letters just went out to all federal employees stating exactly this. When will everyone actually rise up.
