I see this as a Jake Burger like situation where Vaughn’s being sent down to get his head back on straight. Underlying numbers aren’t horrible. Still barreling the bal 13.3% of the time (when he makes contact). His 22.3% strikeout rate is just 1% higher than last year. .258 xBA.
