We are in the final days of our effort to collect signatories on our petition to protect NASA science and SO CLOSE to our 20,000 signatory goal. ANYONE in the world can sign. Help us reach our goal: planet.ly/petition

Inspired by @jtuttlekeane.bsky.social and @ohdearz.bsky.social, here's what the White House proposed budget cuts to NASA would do to the entirety of the agency's Science Mission Directorate. Bloodbath is right.

This is seismic. Isaacman had clearly articulated a strong support for science, and the withdrawal of his nomination yet further imperils NASA's Science Mission Directorate. www.semafor.com/article/05/3...

Here's NASA astrophysics, if I read the president's proposed budget correctly. 🔭

The NASA planetary science fleet chart if the president’s budget is enacted.

I never looked at Gateway as a "kluge." Gateway is a "foothold" in lunar orbit. It that could augment lunar operations where you could be operating robots on the lunar surface in one area while a crew explores another. We you could analyze samples or perform other mission support activities. 1/

So what do you think of the start of Murderbot?

Here are all the missions that face cancellation as part of a devastating 47% cut to NASA's science program. www.planetary.org/articles/bil...

The White House has released its top-level ("skinny") budget proposal for FY2026. For NASA, that includes previously reported deep science cuts, ending SLS and Orion after Artemis 3, and scaling back ISS operations.

Hello everyone, I know the Trump admin is doing lots of horrible things but, please use The Planetary Societies action center to make your voice heard about Trump's planned 47% cut to NASA's budget. It will set back their scientific projects back decades. #NASA www.planetary.org/advocacy-act...

Congratulations Firefly Aerospace!

I hope NASA continues to produce SLS and Orion they are amazingly safe in ways other systems cannot be. The answer is to work harder to control the costs of SLS via Boeing and Northrop Grumman not cancel it. www.cnn.com/2025/02/10/s...
