Fire at one of the derelict houses on 41st at Alberta.

Something keeps eating my cabbage plants. I don't see any slugs around, nothing on the leaves, there are a lot of ants around. But we're not sure what's devouring them.

@cbcstephenquinn.bsky.social You guys are still alive right? Vancouver isn't showing up in the CBC Listen app... 🥺 How will I get it dates on the Cassiar *Connector* without a Vancouver stream?

@davidebybc.bsky.social is here helping do a demo at Science World.

Science World suddenly swapped the arrows for the members vs general public lines out front today, it caused amusing and huge confusion between those who read the sign vs those following habits at early members opening.

Ha. I guess I walk fast enough my destressing walks while the kids are at evening activities are seen as cycling by Strava.

With the sun out I thought about maybe going for a ride today, first of the season, but this wind, yikes.

Brrr, the heat might turn on if I let it.

Dude just knocked on my door trying to convince me he could see signs of premature seal failure on our two year old windows. After he left I looked closer, wiped with my finger, no, they just need washing.

Carney's biggest issue is he's limited by the team he has available. When you have a bunch of big name (eg demanding portfolios) second tier rookie MPs, that's not going to be the sharpest cabinet. I can think of two off the top of my head...housing limited (artificial) intelligence. Hint hint.

I just emailed my resignation to HR. 😬

Gregor as Housing Minister, oh gawd, Rennie must be drooling.

We have a visitor for the night (🦆) and someone is very curious.

Prediction, massive amount of goods heading towards the US over the next 90 days to take advantage of this window and potential spot shortages of some goods in the rest of the world as every ship is pulled in. Also a large number of trains heading from Deltaport to the US rather than Cdn markets.

What is the point of spending money to install these in parks and public places if they are then broken for years upon years? This one was broken last summer too, I doubt it was fixed in between.

Getting old is annoying. You can be reaching for something in the fridge the wrong way and then suddenly be asking why your shoulder hurts.

Forth in line for the urgent care 15 minutes before they open.

If we were smart our retailers located close to the border quickly would stock up on essentials. I smell reverse cross border shopping coming soon. And bring those containers to our ports so we can throw them onto trains when the turd caves.
