Coverage of idiots claiming ‘betrayal’ or ‘surrender’ isn’t just bad journalism, it’s a dereliction of our duty to explain things. I’d actually forgotten just how bad it got but here we are, straight back to treating liars & spivs like authorities of equal weight to experts & honest brokers.

The U.K. fishing industry - weaponised & then betrayed & then abandoned, by Johnson, Farage & the rest of them - is better off under Starmer’s deal than it was under Johnson’s. That’s not an opinion. It’s counting. Anyone claiming otherwise is a liar.

Remember this one. In five years, or ten, or twenty. When we're a weird, dirty, backward nation that still sets fire to stuff, and places like China and India start to ask us why.

Brexit. Trump. Truss. Boris Johnson. Netanyahu… It never ceases to amaze me just how much of our media & politicians waltz away unscathed after being so catastrophically & hideously wrong about all the major moments of our time.

As mass murder and genocide escalate in #Gaza, the UK government should denounce them, cut off all support to Netanyahu's government and assist in its prosecution. Instead, Starmer silences his ministers. In doing so, he facilitates the crimes.

Hey @thejeremyvine.bsky.social, I recommend watching @lewisgoodall.com interviewing that Jan Halper Hayes today. I shall say no more.

I can be as critical as anyone of the government's occasionally muddled message on growth but Look! At! This! Chart!! Anything they've done pales next to this GIGANTIC UNFORCED ERROR COMMITTED IN 2016! (fagpacket maths follows) on.ft.com/4hzyvbJ

Throwback to when Boris Johnson said money was being "spaffed up the wall" in investigating historic child abuse.

Kemi Badenoch defends the right to speak freely and air a different point of view, by insisting those who disagree must stop.

Sigh - classic fact free nonsense. ‘news’ story here totally fails to mention that Tory plans were for fines of £5k (later reduced to £3k) for each missed heat pump sale. What @Ed_Miliband has done is to reduce that to £500. Headline should read “Miliband slashes Tory boiler tax”

Jeremy Clarkson, who owes his fame & fortune in large part to the BBC, sneers at the brilliant @vicderbyshire.bsky.social for being ‘classic BBC’ when she uses *his own words* to describe his position.

It's genuinely mad how many people can be persuaded to go to bat for the interests of the wealthy & powerful but if people turn out to protest for the oppressed our press & the usual meatheads crucify them. We have an unsustainable serf mentality in this country that we urgently need to get over.

If you bring central London to a halt in order to campaign against catastrophic climate change then you're a "barmy" eco "fanatic" who deserves to be locked up. If you do the same to hang on to your multimillion pound inheritance tax exemption then you're a brave freedom fighter defying the odds
