UPS tried to reschedule on me again today. I caught it early and phoned them up. I gave them a stern talking to. They had the chairs to me less than two hours later.

Hm. Either there was an early pickup for bulky trash or somebody took the old futon cushion last night. It was in plastic so it didn’t get rain-soaked, but one reason we were chucking it was that when Tycho-cat was ill he soaked it in other liquids and we never quite got rid of the smell.

Tomato basil bread, cooked in an As Seen on TV™ Pyrex tube. We had one of these tubes when I was growing up but it was rarely used because it was so much bother to get the bread out. Wrapping the raw dough in parchment paper works great for that.

Today’s fold! It’s a nice dramatic look and very simple: fold the handkerchief in uneven thirds at a canted angle to make the triangle pleats at the edges and then fold it roughly in half so that the two pleated edges stack unevenly. #pocketfold

Heh.. a weirdness. Went into the kitchen to get a snack, glanced at the stove, and my watch both said 2:32. Got cashews, noticed stove said 2:31 and my watch said 2:33. Stove is counting down the time until some bread dough is thawed and watch is counting up.. time. Both aligned at cashew o’clock.
