If you’re wondering if US climate researchers are freaking out, yeah they’re freaking out.

Frost: Tonight the people stealing are not folks with tattoos and hoodies but people wearing suits and ties and congressional pins sitting in the capitol now, not in some alley wrapped in darkness but the United States congress wrapped in the flag. It is disgusting and we will never forget this.

News: Four union leaders call for Abrego Garcia's release in new letter to El Salvadoran ambassador. Labor is ramping up its advocacy for this sheet metal worker. "The erosion of rights and due process for immigrants in the US is a direct threat to the rights of all working people."

The Democrats who fought for their constituents, and stood up for the rights of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, and Andry Hernandez Romero, have weakened Trump on his strongest issue. You can’t lose when you fight for the Constitution.

They hate America, the constitution, and our democracy, and want a dictatorship instead. They’re not hiding it.

One note to DOJ: I'm sorry you're overwhelmed with all of the defending of lawlessness that you're doing, but this is *not* the way to do this. Is DOJ just no longer filing actual stay requests at district courts? They just file a paragraph and attach an appeals court filing? What?

one thing that Democratic politicians should take note of is that the overlap between “great political optics” and “actual morally good stuff” is really big right now

The Supreme Court's confusing order explained: "If the government were acting in good faith here, this order would probably be fine. But the government has made clear that it is not." open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

A super useful thread on what to do now that the GOP has a framework for reconciliation.

This got lost in the last week—but in my preview of the April 1 elections, I had asked people to follow school board races in three places: Kenosha, Green Bay, and Anchorage. Result: The Dem-backed or liberal candidates won 6 of the 7 seats at play. via: boltsmag.org/whats-on-the...

Great job, Bernie. "For many years, as I think you know, I have been talking how our country is moving towards an oligarchic form of society. And I know that people had their doubts, 'What is Bernie talking about?' Well, not anymore. People see what's going on right in front of them.

Oh this is a disgraceful abuse of power.

Are you keeping track? Liberals or Democrats: —won Wisconsin supreme court —won Wisconsin school superintendent —flipped mayorship of Aurora, IL's 2nd city —flipped county executive position in WI's Winnebago —strong results in school board races in WI —very strong municipal results in IL

And from Wisconsin

Three cheers for Cory Booker, who just broke the record for holding the floor. One time, when I was an intern in Congress in '97, I watched Strom Thurmond getting into an elevator. One of the creepiest sights I've ever seen, he stood there with his young aides and looked past me, expressionless.

Was just reading John Quincy Adams' oral arguments before SCOTUS in the Amistad case and this part seems, uh, pretty relevant

Here is some good news. With thanks to everyone who contributed to our United24 campaign for demining Ukrainian land. You made this happen.

NEW VIDEO: Chief Justice John Roberts rebuked Turmp's call to impeach a federal judge who ruled against the administration. @marcelias.bsky.social explains how Trump's threat is the latest move to intimidate the judiciary into compliance. Watch the full video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=71o2...

DoJ is litigating the way we saw Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman and Psycho Pillow Dude litigate post-2020. It’s total clownshoes.

“Trying to model US economic policy in 2025 is trying to model the mind of a very strange guy who’s got all kinds of hangups…” — @pkrugman.bsky.social yesterday w @mehdirhasan.bsky.social on Zeteo's youtube channel. Weird president.

STRESS KILLS. 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, struggling every day to keep their families going.   The result: working class people die 7 years earlier than the rich. We need an economy that works for all, not just the few.
