Nintendo finally sent the invite. My Switch 2 has been ordered. And now to twiddle my thumbs by the mailbox until it arrives.

Every now and then I see a pair of Jurassic Park Reebok’s in my size and ask myself “can you really justify the expense?” Of course, even then, would I be willing to wear them and potentially ruin them? Maybe I’ll get some Poscas and a pair of canvas shoes.

Love this fried color fine line look. It’s modern, but reminds me of the days of iMacs and McSalad Shakers.

Exactly.

I know it should have been obvious, but apparently you… like… can just MAKE kettle corn.

Ah. Another day of liking Star Wars while being exhausted by people who like Star Wars.

The amount of Switch 2s on eBay suggests to me that retailers didn’t do a great job enforcing those purchase limits.

I mean, the T-Rex bucket is cool, but I feel like it needs to be WAY bigger to compete with that Galactus bucket.

The giant Galactus popcorn bucket looks like Steve Martin.

My mom had this handmade wood table. She switched it for a table that is laminated to LOOK like fancy wood. It functions, but she’s had it five years and it’s falling apart. Junk that wasn’t as expensive as real wood, but also lacked any ability to last. And that’s where I am on AI art.

Imagine owning a cyber truck RIGHT NOW. Cognitive dissonance, thy name is MAGA douche.

Every time black history month or pride month roll around, I wonder about the lived experience of seeing corporations perform solidarity in hopes of a purchase. They don’t have a month for white asthmatics who watched too much TV growing up. Unless that’s what Christmas is… hmm… Goy Pride?

Apparently it’s Dinosaur Day. Of course, we celebrate Dinosaurs EVERY day around here.

Changing today’s status from “relaxed” to “traumatized by Doctor Who.”

I’ve been watching Interior Design Masters and every time they get a restaurant brief I’m like “bring back 90s fast food chic!” They never do.

Okay, so if you’ve seen Cobra Kai, I think you already have the better Karate Kid sequel, BUT Ben Wang is great, the movie is short-ish, and I think the action is actually pretty cool. The biggest sin is being so formulaic/forgettable. I had a good time though.

What I would like is if we could end the mass deportations while also making a decision not to pay people sub-minimum wages to work long hours in inhumane conditions simply because they don’t have better options. Like, what if we collectively decided to be decent human beings for once?

Wrestling doodle.

I will say this: the Lilo & Stitch remake is fine. It deviates from the source like other Disney remakes, but I think in pretty successful ways that allow it to still land the emotional beats. The original is still superior and the theater was SO NOISY, but not a bad movie weekend, honestly.

Okay, do I NEED another popcorn bucket? No. But DANG is this one a fun idea.

New volume of Dinosaur Sanctuary! If you like Jurassic Park, but wish they’d finally get it right and just have a cool Dino zoo where nobody gets eaten, have I got great news for you!

Honestly? Not enough reactor shafts in the White House.

One of those work days that is both very busy, and very boring. I am falling asleep here, man.

People are always like "we don't have 22 episode seasons anymore because the money is going to make higher quality 8-episode seasons." Then you get an 8-episode season of a show and two are good, but nobody can deny it looks like half a billion dollars was spent to make it. Who really wins here?

The hierarchy of power in the A24 universe is about to change.

I feel like there are existing pieces of Jurassic Park iconography that would make for a better popcorn bucket than the mutant incubator.

Okay, so it’s NOT Isla Sorna in Rebirth? Just how many islands did Hammond fill with dinosaurs before the events of Jurassic Park?

I feel like half of everything I draw is driven by how badly I wanted to win this Disney Adventures superhero contest from 1994.

The fact that this excited me despite this series being more miss than hit is evidence of just how highly I think of the original. Anyway… Dino Dr Pepper!

Now playing, ripped to my old Zune. Yeah, I said Zune. I won it in a giveaway on a music forum in 2007.

So you think the Emperor is in his room mentally projecting himself to Lothal during these episodes, thinking “what the hell’s a Luthen?”

What a time to be alive

Just accept that during the events of Thunderbolts, Spider-Man is attending New York Comic Con. You know he totally would.

I’d be fascinated to know what George Lucas thinks of the right-wing appropriation of Star Wars. Personally, I think Space Trump would be trying to deport Admiral Ackbar for having a name that sounds too “middle-eastern.”
