Once again you have to decide if you want to do politics and pick people who can do the job or if you want to stan septuagenarians with cancer working in important positions. Because mawkish sentimentality and elder abuse has won out consistently over fighting fascism

The reason the Biden story won't go away is that the "Biden Inner Circle Coverup" story is the "Feinstein on Judiciary" story is the "Connolly instead of AOC on Oversight" story is the "Republicans are about to pass their Medicaid killer bill because 3 Dems have literally died in their seats" story.

The fundamental poisons of American democracy — senate representation, electoral college, winner-take-all elections, unlimited campaign spending — are subjects of consensus among the 2 parties allowed to hold power. Everything they do besides confront those poisons is, in the long run, cosmetic.
