The settler audacity to presume that you can take other people's land and leave with it! Those treaties weren't signed with Alberta. Without the crown via Canada, Alberta has no land. Secessionist movements are functionally #landback movements. Go ahead, give it back.

The young coyotes in my neighbourhood are learning to howl. I'm pretty sure what they're saying is, "MOM, HE'S ON MY SIDE! MOM! MOOOOOOOOM!" I saw four of them running around in the rain last night arguing about who was It. Good show, highly recommend.

There is a little part of me that wants to get a group of librarians together to do a podcast where we get together at intervals and just talk about the problem/interesting thing of the moment. Whatever that problem/interesting thing is for each of us at that time, and record it.

Archeologists recreated sites of cave paintings in VR to see adding light sources would reveal whether artists were responding to patterns they saw on the surface of the rock. They were. You can't see it without VR because can't light fires in these caves now. phys.org/news/2023-09...

My mom worked at RBC for decades and taught me this: everyone assumes it's "safety deposit box", but it's actually "safe deposit box". CBC Early Edition just did a segment on safety deposit boxes.
