This gives me an excuse to post one of my favorite videos of all time. The horns! youtu.be/_zkRjrGmTl4?...

I was trying to figure out an annoying photo management task with my little Sony mirrorless, and then I remembered that phones are computers now and I just plugged a USB-C cable into both devices and the thing I needed to do just happened.

In a different era, Green Bay would call their own conclave and elect an Antipope.

Trying to stay spoiler-free on the papal conclave. I didn’t even watch any of the trailers.

A big part of parenting is trying to figure out whether objects are damp (neutral) or damp (concerning).

Americans who are used to a two-party system won't be aware of this, but in Canada every time a group of political candidates is photographed they always include a fake one as a test.

This weekend I let my kid ride his scooter on the neighborhood sidewalks for the first time and we’re getting around so fast now. It’s incredible. This must be what Goku feels like when he takes of those weighted clothes.

I know I’m kind of a bandwagon Canadian, but damn, Gordon Lightfoot was the best that ever did it.

Running on caffeine today because of the midnight Switch preorder. And I'll probably stay up too late tonight watching the Draft. We contain multitudes, and all of them are sleepy.

You have to put so much salt in soup to make good soup.

On the subject of Andor, if you want to revisit Season 1 before the new episodes are released tonight, this episode of @kirkhamilton.com's Strong Songs podcast is one of my favorites. (The recent Muppets episode is also standout.)

He is risen.

I think maybe it’s time that we as a society reflect on whatever decisions led us to a place where the dead Pope is designated as “🔥 Hot.”

The North Face backpack I bought at the University of Georgia bookstore in 2008 is still going strong. And once in a while I find £10 and some defunct London Underground tokens in one of the pockets.

I'm resisting, but I some days feel the call to become a Hot Sauce Guy.

It’s truly a golden age for stock photos of shipping containers.

So much time was spent litigating whether The Pitt was a reboot of ER, and the whole time it was a reboot of MASH.

Sure, the global economy and food supply chain might be disintegrating, but I think we’re all going to have a lot of fun with Hot Bean Summer.

The Great Lakes provide so many opportunities to look out the window and say to yourself “what the hell is happening out there?”

Fine. I’ll bite. What’s a stock?

Oh yeah… um, sorry. That’s on me. It’s just been really busy lately. There was a lot of stuff going on in Hyrule, you know?

What’s good?!

Well I went to Costco hungry, so if anybody has experience setting up a crowdfunding campaign I’d love to chat.

Pulling the most over-the-top version of the most basic card in the game really pleases me. Decks are about to get ostentatious.

Finally allowed to post this. 🎂

What I really want are the transcripts from the secret side-chat where they all make fun of Vance.

Despite my best efforts, the baby still refuses to shake it like a Polaroid picture.

In hindsight, if my intent was to maximize sleep quality, eating a quart of khao soi two hours before bedtime was not the play.

It’s outrageous that going to bed at 10:30 and waking up at 5:30 doesn’t count as 8 hours of sleep.

These massive dust storms add a real touch of authenticity to the 1930's redux we're living through.

I went for a walk in shorts this afternoon. AMA.

Unfortunately my wife has introduced our son to the concept of flight tracker apps, so now I must give up all other pursuits in favor of my new career as an amateur air traffic controller for a preschooler. Goodbye.

On days like this I never know what to post that has additional value beyond what’s being widely shared. Stay safe out there fam.

You guys ever have a really good lunch? Goddamn.

The magic of the holidays never has to end when you have a preschooler who loudly and incorrectly sings Frosty the Snowman every day at the breakfast table.

An interesting thing about this era that is you can read the dumbest sentence you've ever seen in your life and then three hours later one comes along that's even dumber.

Well here we are at the end of another Daylight Saving Time discourse day. Great takes this year everyone. See you in November.

Fortunately daylight saving time doesn’t really affect me because in my house we only express time relative to the Battle of Yavin.
