There's something to be said about the wider fgc's reaction to a game that doesn't have immediate financial incentives to play it for top players, and it's sole purpose is to be fun

i love looking up shmups on backloggd because without fail you find someone who calls them STGs saying "a masterpiece, one of the single greatest works of the medium, from peerless craftsmen at the top of their form" then click through and all the reviews are like "2.5 stars. ok. not enough variety"

Been seeing people use "When's Marvel" devoid of context (i.e. about MCU or Rivals), so here's a little history lesson. The "Marvel" in "When's Marvel" is short for Marvel Vs. CAPCOM. Because in places where that game was popular, Marvel was always short for Marvel Vs. CAPCOM. Not comics or movies.
