A national cryptocurrency reserve is a scam. It is simply an attempt by those who own cryptocurrency to trade it for US dollars or gold from the Treasury. The federal government will be left holding this bag of hazardous waste.

What Europe should do RIGHT NOW: Make it extremely easy for US scientists to get long-term visa, create as many additional research jobs in key areas as possible, create new, generous science and research funds. People are losing their jobs over there NOW. Let‘s welcome them.

I look forward to this opportunity, thank you!

I've learned from today's discourse that "like termites" is a perfectly nice way of describing people you disagree with, and it's tone-policing to think otherwise. Since this is my second language, I was wondering if any of the following should be struck out: vermit, parasite, cockroach, rat, worm?

Been addicted to making these. #BurntBasqueCheesecakes

I'm not an R person, but I totally agree with this point: we're doing students a disservice by teaching them stata. Even worse if you're teaching at a public university: using public money to create consumers for a private company.

Looking forward to a great conference program today!

We concluded the semester with a very enjoyable Holiday Party at UMN Econ yesterday afternoon. I am still a bit mystified by what our students think about our department and about economics in general. @umn-econ.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJbD...

This gem of price theory is useful for public, macro, and labor. Once seen, it's obvious. Yet is quite rare, at least in published textbooks or article. 1/3 youtu.be/qv1JFjT8QeM?...

My advise on tariffs 1. Don't tax intermediate goods 2. Don't tax everything under the sun www.ft.com/content/d950...
