Hi, American who lived in Canada here. Between Provincial and Federal income taxes, I paid significantly more in Canada compared to the United States, even in California. And you know what I got for it? A superior quality of life. My healthcare was covered. My COL was lower. Life was better.

What people don't seem to understand is that even if they are not using Medicaid, a large share of their providers' patient population does. That means that their healthcare providers may be unable to stay solvent and in practice when Medicaid is cut. We all lose when Medicaid is cut.
