As I have been saying.... Putin was never negotiating. He was listing his term for a Ukrainian surrender. Trump was ever a Putin appendage. He was used by Putin to create the illusion of legitimacy. Now that even the blockhead in the press have wised up, Trump is no longer useful to Putin. /1

Biking is extremely energy efficient. The street fighting math guesstimate I arrived at a few years ago was I got around 300mpg (of fat) riding at 15mph.

Trump and his minions in Congress are working to strip the courts of their already limited enforcement powers. The plan is to routinely ignore court orders and make the courts irrelevant. As I've noted before, when dictators clash with courts, the courts usually come out a distant second.

There is a good chance that the US we thought we had is irretrievably broken. What will emerge from the current collapse is unclear. The only thing that can be said with confidence is that rainbows, unicorns, and a pony for everyone are highly unlikely.
