Rees-Mogg also said there should be a confirmatory vote on the actual deal. Farage said nobody wanted to leave the customs union. It all immediately went to the harshest possible Brexit was the only Brexit. Yet people continue to believe the charlatans

People ignore this fact. The vote was a non-binding vote. The electoral commission said there was so much fraud and illegality involved in the vote leave campaign that if the vote was binding, it would have been nullified. However we had to leave as it was the will if the people

There's no such thing as unnecessary policing of phone use in the cinema. Calls and texts should be done outside the screen. If you can't go two hours without texting or checking socials, don't go. The rest of us will appreciate it. Fully agree this is a great ad for that cinema

Incredible how many MPs who would regularly pretend that you can live a life of luxury on benefits also claim they can't get through 1 year after 4+ years of £80,000+. How can they not survive having been paid that yet £400 a month is enough for 1 person or £628 for 2 to live the life of Riley

If this doesn't live and breathe free speech I don't know what does

I've no idea how people may not know it already but the United states as it was is gone. It may not return for some time. In the meantime avoid it at all costs. They should really lose the world cup hosting but FIFA are ball less

It had to happen. It fuels the entire point of the last of us part two. My biggest gripe is that it should happen in episode 1. Episode 1 should have been 3/4 but because there's only 7 eps this time there'd have been 2 flashback episodes too close together. Season 2 prob won't cover the whole game

Jumbo spring rolls and chop suey rolls already exist

To be honest we already had the same thought when you can't buy kinder eggs because of safety hazards but you can buy an AR15

Bugger didn't realise it had a post credit scene as well as the mid credit one. My only wish with Sinners was that they'd kept the advertising to it being a prohibition type era gangster film

How long until we reach the ingnoring/not meeting Trump phase ? Seriously, beyond the past why are western leaders even holding any pretence that Trump can be worked with?

I came to this realisation during the Brexit farce. It became apparent that for all it's faults, being unelected allows it to do it's job. It doesn't have to pander to popular opinion or the media. I'd not change it's unelected nature

This is the man Starmer should be copying. Strong, bold and decisive

Joe blogs on YouTube has done a number of videos on the super prison long before Trump was re-elected so go watch those to find out. The prison is truly brutal, up there with some Russian prisons

Why is it inappropriate? Given the media landscape of the UK I'd like to see more of this. We hand over so much of our media to foreign owners who really don't have giving us accurate news at the top of their agendas. Surely politicians are here and elected to work in the interests of the nation

I wonder if all older people think this of "their time" but I genuinely think football peaked between 98-2002
comment in response to post
It really wouldn't. Just stop them taking more loans like the one Thames water was just allowed to take. Then when they inevitably fail due to their unmanaged debt you pick up the liquidated company for peanuts like any other business. All debt removed, as with any other business

If, and it's a huge if, there are free elections in that place ever again. I love AOC, a genuine change figure for good in the states

It's the same in any industry that requires a dedicated period of time where you cannot earn much. Acting and music are increasingly only for the rich

He shouldn't be allowed in here currently

I think they're terrified of the pressure. They don't have a Campbell figure controlling the papers the way Blair did and their own messaging is terrible

If Starmer is dumb enough to back the fascist America then he may as well roll out the red carpet for farage and his reform fascists

Incorrect, it required 2/3 of members to vote in favour. Labour had 40% of seats at that time. Without Labour votes it was impossible to bring forward the election. And Sinn Fein had 7 seats and they never take the seats and vote. So, again, without Labour it was impossible to have the 2019 election
comment in response to post
That line did untold damage along with Corbyn voting for a new election when the only choice left for bojo was election or 2nd referendum. That mistake led us here. We could have remained and done damage to the Tories, perhaps even regained the 2017 momentum. Labour had to change after that defeat

For me the logic doesn't work. The gvt acknowledges the gender of a person, therefore when the legislate they assume you are the gender they have agreed that you are. It's surely that simple, otherwise why have the certification process

Amusingly this is my weekend viewing. Both booked at the local flicks

To stop Trump was very simple. Change things. Either reshape the very rigged supreme court. Change the rules on who can run, if felons cannot vote how the f*ck can they be elected officials. Or make damned sure he was in jail, he'd committedenough crime to be in jail, prosecute him early and hard

I didn't really see the play acting from us but agree that we chose not to kill the game. Agree the pressure seems to have gotten to us/Wilder. I am actually shell shocked to an extent as I'd actually allowed myself some belief. Can't see anyone other than Sunderland going up via play offs

The republican party has been vaguely fascistic for a while now but Trump has jumped deep into fascism. America is gone and it took less than 2 months. Nobody even tried to stop it. The Dems allowed it but their weakness shouldn't override that it was the republican party that wholesale welcomed it
comment in response to post
Why are they laughing at that? It's despicable. Given we know they're already deporting people who've committed no crimes and have sent at least one person by accident. You know it'll just be the dumping ground for political enemies

She needed elevating far sooner than now. I think America is gone already. I doubt there will be proper mid terms. I thought and hoped that Biden would only do half a term and put something in place to show the Dems were the future but instead they allowed the reps to just carry on rigging things

I didn't realise the new season was available already but it's been seriously curtailed by Netflix. It is nowhere near as brutal as it was and in san Junipero it was almost positive. I think it's unlikely we'll get another white bear type episode

Penultimate comment a bit harsh on themselves. I thought they played decent football at the lane and it just showed that they're recently promoted and missed a bit of quality top end of the pitch. First 4/5 posts had me thinking I was hallucinating
