Apparently there is now a sixth map option being presented for the mid-cycle redistricting for Tarrant County that to the eye looks like the same core racial gerrymander we saw in the first five map options. They vote in a week. Is this the last map? Will we get real data on this one? (Doubt it)

I keep thinking about Sheinelle Jones’ husband dying from a cancer that has no cure. It’s incredibly unfair. I know life isn’t fair, but the fact that Trump is cutting medical research to find cures is particularly heinous and cruel. I have tremendous empathy, but can’t fathom that pain.

The final community meeting on Tarrant County mid-cycle redistricting was held on 5/21 in Precinct 3. The community came out and spoke against it, with passionate arguments, as opposed to the True Texas Project talking points “Option 1” (see previous video) These are the voices of Tarrant County.

The 14th Amendment enshrines the idea of one person, one vote. The 2021 redistricting process in Tarrant County ensured it was maintained, and voted 4-1 to extend the maps until 2030. The Tim O’Hare led court wants to redistrict mid-cycle, and their maps WILL violate the Voting Rights Act.
