Was the State Library of Queensland forced by the state arts minister to rescind Ren Wyld's book prize & fellowship after she'd travelled to Brisbane for the ceremony? If you punish someone for opposing genocide, you need to say that out loud for the record, not just leak it to the Oz. How shameful.

This kid is 15, and so has a moral clarity and uprightness that no adult elected official would or could ever have. There aren't really and never have been two sides of this issue, but if it has to be argued as a binary thing I don't see how anything less than this could seem like the side to be on.

I dreamt that I was back in the UK, meeting up with my friends in a cafe. And when I finally managed to get there, they were all at this large table but I ended up sitting at the other end of it surrounded by people I've worked with in the past that I really didn't like much. Thanks brain.

I honestly can’t agree more. I don’t have a single woman in my life who hasn’t had an encounter. Yet, we have not seen women gravitating towards harmful and violent behavior towards others as a result of centuries of being harassed and dismissed.

Democracy sausage ftw! In the several elections, federal and local, that have happened since we returned from the UK, this is the first where the local polling station had democracy sausage. No fascists, small minded bigots, billionaires, or science deniers benefitted from my visit.
