We are humbled by the fact that over 1250 of you have already contacted your MP - THANK YOU! If you haven't already please do so via our webpage which makes it very easy. The government needs to look at the evidence presented by their own experts and many others. act.bats.org.uk/planning-and...

Baby Gizmo! Gizmo was a canyon bat pup from a few years back and was released when he was full grown. 🦇 #bats #arizona #wildanimals #cuteanimals #wildlife #babyanimals

The government’s new Planning and Infrastructure Bill could give businesses the green light to trash habitats and threaten wildlife. Say no to attacks on nature! If you agree – join me and add your name with @friends-earth.bsky.social👇 foe.uk/tffac

Only possible thanks to your donations and our incredible volunteers #VolunteersWeek

We've had the first reports of baby bats being born in England, Scotland and Wales. READ MORE HERE: www.bats.org.uk/news/2025/06...

I've discovered that the local park has so many acorn woodpeckers that I stopped trying to keep count, which means so many fun photo opportunities. LOOK AT HIM 🪶🥹

This little bat was found grounded and under weight, but after a couple of weeks with one of our bat carers it's back to full health and has been released!

🐝 #Pollinators are responsible for much more than food-crops. From biofuels to medicines, we rely on pollinators in much of our daily lives.🧪 Check out a few facts about pollinators from the IPBES #PollinationAssessment 🌏 Read the Report here: https://www.ipbes.net/assessment-reports/pollinators

🦇 June is here! Female bats usually give birth to a single baby, called a pup, which they feed on their milk. Young bats are very small (less than an inch) and pink with little to no fur. They will soon grow a thin, slightly grey fur.

The message is getting through. A good exampke shown by @surreycc.gov.uk

There are four UK native frog and toad species - but two are already very rare due to habitat loss 🐸 Their main challenges are loss of breeding ponds and disruption of migration routes by roads, buildings and property boundaries. Here are some ways that you can help our amazing amphibians 👇

Listen up! It is baby bat season! Please, please, please keep your cat indoors overnight for next few weeks. Seeing multiple cat-damaged or killed bats, some with babies attached.😪 Bats can live >20 years and have just 1 baby/year, so now's a critical time. # bats #cats #conservation #wildlife 🦇

I don't know who needs to hear this, but sharks absolutely do get cancer. And even if they didn't get cancer, eating shark wouldn't cure your cancer any more than eating LeBron James would make you better at playing basketball. 📷: Andrew Fox

Sound up for pretty quiet batty ASMR! Some bats don't catch on to eating mealworms and prefer the "blended diet" developed by Bat World. It's a mix of frozen mealworms and supplemental ingredients for complete nutrition. 🦇 #bats #arizona #wildanimals #cuteanimals #wildlife #asmr #asmreating

Labour promised to restore nature. ❌ Instead, their Planning Bill contains a licence to destroy it. We offered solutions. We’re done waiting. Part 3 of the Bill would gut the laws protecting our most precious habitats & species. Without significant change, it must be scrapped.

Friend Fran Rutkovsky posted these lovely armadillo photos from her yard in Tallahassee. Armadillos *love* water and will take hilarious baths.

🦇 Bats do not make nests, but choose various places throughout the year to roost. They can roost in houses, but some species prefer hollow trees, or caves. In buildings they often shelter behind hanging tiles and boarding or in roof spaces. Learn more here: www.bats.org.uk/about-bats/w...

Just when you thought they couldn't get cuter, you see pallid bat (A. pallidus) "freckles". Pallid bats have pararhinal glands on their faces that emit a musky odor. 🦇🦨 #bats #arizona #wildanimals #cuteanimals #wildlife

Please share - UK folks help the BTO collect information on how our Blackbirds are doing. The emergence of #Usutu- a mosquito-borne virus- may be causing their populations to fall in southern England. Need to understand if this impact is occurring more widely, including in Scotland
