As I wrapped up my own private tour of Donner Lake/Donner Summit, I became keenly aware that at the same point I was saying, “This is so cool, this bit of history is almost 180 years old”, someone in Europe was saying, “This Church here was built with the bones of a recently deceased Brontosaurus..”
