When the Trump administration froze this Nobel Prize–winning neuroscientist's research funding, he received an email from China offering to relocate his lab to any city and university of his choice, with guaranteed funding for 20 years. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/03/u...

Q: What crimes has Gavin Newsom committed? TRUMP: I think his primary crime is running for governor, because he's done such a bad job

Three things about this comment: 1. Homan is a White House adviser who doesn't have the power to arrest anyone. Neither does Trump. 2. Trump once again acts like he's not in charge. "If I were Tom, I'd do it." Uh, doesn't he work for you? 3. THREATENING TO ARREST A GOVERNOR IS A FIVE ALARM FIRE

We’ve never had a president who so wanted chaos—who treated division as tools. A real leader brings calm and unity. Trump fans the flames. He wants the fight. We need peaceful protest and the strength to be the unity he fears.

Just to be clear: peaceful protest is as American as it gets. But when insurrectionists were beating cops in his name, Trump never deployed the National Guard. That tells you everything.

In LA, officers deployed tear gas and shot rubber bullets at protesters fighting against ICE raids. Here’s a reminder that those anti-protest weapons—which are billed as relatively safe—can actually cause serious harm.

In Manhattan, ICE officers were forced to flee inside 26 Federal Plaza

"It's Summer in Trump's America and Fascism is in Bloom" is my latest. The decision to send in the national guard in LA is not an isolated move but part of an orchestrated series of moves to impose the president's will on the the country. www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump...

This piece by @cdelawalla.bsky.social @michaelemann.bsky.social et al clearly lays out the devastating attacks on not only scientific research, but society as a whole. Under the guise of cutting excess, the entire system is being gutted and replaced with (tech)fascism.
