India is beautiful! 🧡🤍💚 #india (Photos by Steve McCurry, Pulak Bhagawati, Joy Amed)

People used to write beautiful letters. Some survived decades and centuries and we can now read them, analyse, learn about people in the past. What do we have now? Emails, Tweets, WhatsApp messages. Forgettable, soulless, digital. No one will appreciate them in decades to come.

AI “art” is temporary. Human art is eternal. What’s the point of watching something if it’s not real? People will always make and crave for handmade art. No AI will change that. The lazy people will just have it easier. Nobody likes laziness.

New research says that online news headlines have become more negative and clickbaity over the past 20 years. "Right-wing media outlets used headlines with negative connotations significantly more often than left-wing or politically neutral ones." Link: www.mpib-berlin.mpg.de/press-releas...

Poznań Old Town, Poland The Town Hall was built around the year 1300. It was later rebuilt in 1560 by an Italian Renaissance architect Giovanni Battista di Quadro, and also after WW2. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk built in 1724 guards the city from floods. #Poland #Travel #LodaTravels

Photos from my trip to Poznań, March 2025. Had to wake up at 1 a.m. to arrive there at 7 a.m., barely had the time to eat anything, but was great! Beautiful city. #Poznań #Poland #LodaTravels #Travel

Thoreau was right. If a man felt the need to escape the society and live alone in the woods 200 years ago, what would he think now? Humans are becoming zombies. We aren’t made to deal with all the noise, manipulation, fearmongering, lies, hate. Time to escape to the woods.

Happy birthday to Sir David Attenborough who turns 99 years old!!! 🎂🎉 He's made so many great films over 70 years, I have yet to watch many of them. Treasure of a man. He announced his newest film about oceans, do read his important message: bbc.com/news/article...

Keeping books with or without the dust jacket? I like how without it they give an old library vibe. #booksky #books 📚💙

I bought these four on worldofbooks.com. Used, but in a very good condition, lightly worn, perfectly readable. Paid £21 (£13 books+£8 delivery to Poland). That's dirt cheap! And these hardbacks are hard to get! Now I'm wondering why I've been buying new ones on Amazon... #books #booksky

Finished ‘White Mughals’ by @willdalrymple.bsky.social! Amazing adventure, an “irresistible masterpiece” indeed! But now, next grand adventures await... can't decide yet. And this time I've done this properly - hardbacks have so much more character! (and weight too) 📚💙 #booksky #history #books

Fun fact about Tibet - The British tried to trade tea with Tibetans, but they just simply didn't like it. They preferred the brick tea from China. From Hopkirk's Race for Lhasa

We've got only a few decades in the sun. Very brief time to understand and appreciate our world and the universe. It's making me anxious when I think about it... Let's try to spend it well! ☀️

A major TV series about the East India Company and its rapacious conquest of India is in the works! Very excited, 'The Anarchy' was amazing! Not many productions on this subject. Lots of history to fit inside one series. Can't wait! 🔥

Done. Finally finished secondary/high school after 4 years! Just 6-7 years too late, embarrassing, but it is what it is. I can focus on the important things again, like work on myself, get my life back on track, read tons of books. I'm free. University next year (hopefully)

Devastating earthquake in Myanmar last week left the country in ruin and killed many thousands. Horrible... "Mandalay used to be known as the city of gold, dotted by glittering pagodas and Buddhist burial mounds, but the air now reeks of dead bodies." bbc.com/news/article...

This year's #TolkienReadingDay is about "Fellowship and Community", so I travelled to #Poznań last Saturday to meet with the Polish #LOTR community! I met amazing and inspiring people, made great memories! Forgot about group photo sadly... Now, onto studying more #Tolkien! 💍📚

Very proud father's day: Sam Dalrymple’s fabulous book Shattered Lands on the making of modern Asia is now available for pre-order! amzn.in/d/0dNxZYr

In 7th century China, a man escapes the world of violence and politics by burying himself in books. In 2025, I am doing the same. 💙📚
