Reform UK has uncovered the scandal of a “wasteful” £350m contract. Small problem: it’s not a contract. Or £350m. Or a scandal. But apart from that, spot on! 😬 The Bear explains how Reform got it completely wrong ⤵️ @eastangliabylines.co.uk @bearlypolitics.co.uk

www.theguardian.com/environment/... At this rate, I’ll be decamping to the Greens.

@chrisgpackham.bsky.social Hi Chris. With SpringWatch coming up, here’s a question: how do cuckoos avoid getting imprinted?

A quick reminder of what today is really about: Russia threatens Europe. America is gone. It will not save us. Britain and Europe must work closely and with trust, on defense and everything else, in order to counter the Kremlin threat.

The Tories arguing about Brexit betrayal are further evidence of the party’s utter irrelevance.

🔥 "The Reform company, sorry party, has already seen four of their new cohort announce that they can’t or won’t represent them in the council chamber, decisions that in some cases will cost local government tens of thousands of pounds."

Never lose sight of how weird and corrupt it is for the president to have his unelected, unconfirmed oligarch friend—his biggest campaign donor—conduct US foreign policy. No other US president did that, and there’s no reason to think he’s representing the American people rather than himself.

Newly-elected Reform UK councillor was sacked as police officer www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Tory Energy Spokesman, Andrew Bowie says “There’s quite a few scientists that say we don’t need to get to net zero by 2050.” But he and his office were unable to name such scientists when pressed.

It is increasingly unclear to me why a party that was elected under the single word slogan “Change” is continuing to ape the party than preceded them. Nor why they are appearing to take on Reform-like aspects (which is another example of them offering no change to the previous party’s policy)./1

Exactly this.

FUN FACT: Since 2019, Nigel Farage's Reform has taken more than £2.3 MILLION from oil and gas interests - making up an astonishing 92% of the party's donations. Reform are NOT for ordinary people. They're in the pockets of the big oil lobby.

Proof this guy is full of SITH.

Farage wanting to sack the local council workers who work on diversity and climate change shows how little he knows about local councils…

The Greens now have nearly 200 more councillors than Reform. This is not something you'd be likely to guess from all the copiously salivating media coverage of Farage & his crew of billionaire-backed far-right chancers.

Pope Psychopath the XII (Yes, Trump actually posted this image)

Hilarity is now pretty much guaranteed, as pretty much on a weekly basis there will be instances of Reform councillors being found out for corruption, incompetence, past criminality or general shitfuckery.

15% is the Tories worst ever score, against an unpopular government, as the main opposition. It really is starting to look terminal for them.

Reform clearly spent a lot of money in election campaign, especially in Runcorn. But it will be c 6 months before we know where the cash came from because of the huge lag in donation declarations Surely this should be published in real time as it is during general elections?

🔴 NEW 🔴 Reform claims that ordinary members funded its local election campaign. That clearly isn't true. 📝 Here's why 👇

A very neat indirect encapsulation of why Labour’s current strategy is not working.

To be clear, the White House is calling Amazon being transparent and showing American shoppers WHY their stuff is more expensive a “hostile and political act” Maybe don’t implement policies that make shit more expensive?
