Check it out! Disagree? You are wrong. willowwraithpress.com/2025/05/12/t...

Apparently they are having to censor maps of Tar Valon for next season of Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime.

Gonna do my first in-person event this month 👀

Books should ship tomorrow!

Indie April is over and now it’s “MAYbe You Should Buy My Book!” Can’t wait for “JUNEed A New Book” AND “JULYed You Didn’t Leave a Rating” And of course, Indie August!

Re: rating discourse Rate my books how you want or don’t. 🤷‍♂️

Are you really a writer if you don’t have a magical flute that puts your ideas on paper for you??

Whoever bought all 3 physicals of my books today: thank you!

Kinda love the Commanders pick

No one: Older teachers: I don’t understand how this works and I refuse to learn.

Mood:

What are some of the most meaningful books you’ve ever read? I’ll start: A Farewell to Arms. I never looked at war the same again

I've rarely felt more humbled and honored. It's always special to be recognized like this by a fellow writer.

Just read this recently myself. Great start to a fantasy series. #booksky

Love seeing more people read this series lately.

My review of @vaughnroycroft.bsky.social excellent The Severing Son is now up on FanFiAddict! A tale of revenge, humanity, and grand designs—I found myself enthralled with Roycroft’s prose and knack for setting. This book is fantastic, and I highly recommend you read it. ⬇️🖇️

Not a fan of the show, but I love this quote: "Your boos mean nothing, I've seen what makes you cheer" Feels like a good reminder.

Have you ever read a book and it grew more in your mind as time went on? I was really surprised I gave Half a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie a 4⭐️ years ago, but I also had just read Purple Hibiscus which was an easy 5. Now I’d say they are about equal. What about you?

Things have been going slow lately, I’d appreciate any shares!

Why read the Crown and Tide Series? 🗡️Lighter Grimdark with human moments. 🗡️Morally ambiguous characters with realistic development. 🗡️For Fans of Hobb, GRRM, Abercrombie, Cornwell. 🗡️Bloody battles, unrelenting treachery, and pragmatic politics. 🗡️Porridge.

Honored by this kind take by a fellow author.

Just finished this gem. @vaughnroycroft.bsky.social wrote a heck of a book, and one of the best indies that I’ve read. Expect my full review this week!

One thing I wish that being an author had that was awesome about being in a band: stage-dives

“Another head hangs lowly, Child is slowly taken. And the violence cause such silence; Who are we mistaken?”

Write that book. Get a decent but not expensive cover if you can’t afford it. Put it out. Don’t care if people read it or not. Make your art. Dance your dance. Tell the story you want to tell.

I’m starting to be ready to finish Crown and Tide 3 strong, but if I keep my pace on Pizza Story, it could be done by the end of May.

Going on vacation, but I’ll be sending out the signed copies by the end of the month! (One copy of Grave is damaged, so I’ll have to talk to Amazon)

Copied from my post on Twitter: Had this conversation with a few people before, and I wanted to see what you guys think: Has what is considered grimdark changed? (We can talk recently and definitely over the last 5-10 years) Does this website not have polls??

Spring break off to a rocking start: I fell asleep at 6pm yesterday after napping on and off from the time I got home from school the day before. I think I’ve been burn out and used up for a long time. I need to get back to my best. At least my eyes don’t burn any more!

If you are planning to read the Crown and Ride series and haven’t yet…what’s stopping you?

Pizza Story is going to feature a Crown & Tide arcade game. I’m trying to decide what that will look like. I remember you could hit your friends in Golden Axe and one time my best friend and I got so mad at each other we put a hole in an arcade wall. So it’s just Golden Axe? 😂

Pizza Story is at 8k words since Friday. I might have this book written this month. Hope you like Scott Pilgrim meets Legends and Lattes cozy x litrpg fantasy. This first arc is done and let’s just say a lot of it involves cleaning up a Haunted bathroom.

If you’ve written and put out a book, you’ve already beaten the odds!

Topped the 100,000 word mark for Age of Wrath book 3 today. Only another 100,000 to go [sigh]. Anyway, time for chocolate. #amwriting #booksky
