Japan has just installed a 1.1MW tidal turbine, which has a 97% capacity (as far as i understand). This would mean that given Japan's annual energy usage of 902,769,000 MWh/year it would take 96,439 turbines for the country to become 100% energy independent and clean. proteusmr.com/2025/02/13/p...

The epic new Traveller campaign ‘Singularity’ by @mongoosepublishing.bsky.social has just delivered its first Kickstarter pdf and first impressions are its goooooood! Conscious AIs, bioprinting of humans and consciousness transfers. I’m loving running Pirates of Drinax but I want to run this too!

Wife and child away so I'm finally binging on Andor S2. It is quite simply brilliant and at last we have Star Wars dance music! This is my style of sci-fi, dark, gritty and with desperate people in impossible situations. Oh and Mom Mothma is sooooooo hot!

Lots of fun in the tatty sci-fi Havana-like town of Port Amalgo / Arunisiir, this evening for our Pirates of Drinax game. We had plotting's, twists, cyborgs and suspicious notes. So much fun and not a shed of combat in 8 sessions.
