Afternoon everyone. After an early morning gym workout for me & a 6 mile walk for Mrs H we headed out for lunch. No watering of the garden is required today because of the rain due overnight so it’s a case of enjoying a lazy chill on the recliners on the patio. Happy Weekend all. #gardening

Good afternoon folks. First job of the afternoon was to deadhead my climbing rose Gertrude Jekyll. I like to cut them off just before the petals sheed. That way it saves a mess of petals covering the herbaceous plants below. #gardeninglife #gardening #gardenersworld

I kept my gardening jobs to a minimum this afternoon - just removed some spent forgetmenots from part of the front garden, deadheaded my sugar rush wallflowers that are still flowering and planted three purple asters in their place. Then watered them in. #gardennglife #gardening
