Equal rights amendment was introduced 1923; passed by Congress 1972; 35 states ratified, 5 rescinded their ratification. 38 states needed to ratify. My great-grandmothers, grandmothers, mother, I, my daughters, my granddaughters have waited our whole lives for this. We just can’t catch a break.
