Manchester United complete £62.5m signing of Mathues Cunha Cunha signs a five-year contract until June 2030, plus one-year option www.nytimes.com/athletic/642...

Manchester United's cash reserves fell to £73.2m in third quarter There's still capacity to borrow a further £90m under the revolving credit facility But that's why structure of deals and sales likely to be key this summer, as seen in Matheus Cunha talks www.nytimes.com/athletic/640...

How are Manchester United staying PSR compliant? The answer lies in Red Football Ltd Subsidiary company’s accounts are sent for testing by Premier League and UEFA Red Football lost £36.2m last season vs £130.7m at Cayman-registered plc www.nytimes.com/athletic/640...

Matheus Cunha will be Manchester United’s first signing of the summer £62.5m fee, five-plus-one year contract, pending visa and registration on return from international duty with Brazil www.nytimes.com/athletic/638...

Amorim on Fernandes and Garnacho: "I will speak with my players but my focus is the last game. Now we have to focus on the game, we now have the last game and we have time to address those situations."

What’s next for the Glazers and Manchester United? - their day-to-day roles - relationship with Ratcliffe - full sale or another 20 years? Special report w/ @lauriewhitwell.bsky.social + @adamcrafton.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/athletic/633...

A few reasons why not even this season’s Manchester United can mess this up And at least one big reason why they can www.nytimes.com/athletic/632...

Amad and Matthijs de Ligt named in Manchester United’s 26-man squad for trip to Athletic Club Bendito Mantato also travelling to Bilbao Chido Obi and Sekou Kone ineligible but included for Friday training session

Diogo Dalot ruled out for 'next games' with a calf injury, potentially out for the season. Ruben Amorim: “There is that possibility but we don’t know, we’ll check week by week. He works hard. He can recover quite well. We’ll see." www.nytimes.com/athletic/630...

Still, despite it all, think a confident Rasmus Hojlund is a useful player It doesn’t help that there’s no hiding place for him right now But Ruben Amorim doesn’t really have any other option, and sometimes the only way out of barren run is through it www.nytimes.com/athletic/629...

Amorim on Hojlund: "The only way I know is to work on him, show him the videos. He needs to score a goal, he will not score if he’s out. So I try to manage that during games. But he needs to score one, maybe that’s all a striker needs."

Not a result to get worked up over but familiar issues at the root of it. 15 defeats in the league, 13 games without scoring, and the same struggles to turn chances into actual shots, let alone goals

Manchester United XI to play Wolves: Onana, Mazraoui, Lindelof, Fredericson, Dorgu, Ugarte, Eriksen, Amass, Garnacho, Mainoo, Hojlund

Football, fucking hell

United getting a lot of joy out of those long diagonal balls out the back and into the channels. Fernandes' strike against the bar the same. Lyon haven't been able to cope

Lovely United goal. Mazraoui's ball to find Fernandes in space on the right is smart, great touch by Garnacho to get past two defenders and unselfish cut-back Even Hojlund making the run into the six-yard box to take a defender with him and make space for Ugarte. One of the best scored under Amorim

Manchester United XI to play Lyon: Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro, Dalot, Casemiro, Ugarte, Dorgu, Garnacho, Fernandes, Hojlund

At least £85m to be earned from qualifying for the Champions League next season It’s a payday that “can change everything”, says Ruben Amorim. Manchester United cannot afford to miss out on it www.nytimes.com/athletic/626...

Predictable stuff from the United writers’ room tonight. I know it’s been a long 12 years of this now but do better

Manchester United's post-season games in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong confirmed for 28 and 30 May United set to earn $10m (~£8m), will fly out after final game of the season vs Aston Villa www.nytimes.com/athletic/626...

Another #mufc comeback with Bruno Fernandes as the catalyst There were valid questions about whether he would have a natural role in this system If anything, he has too many - vital at both ends of the pitch www.nytimes.com/athletic/616...

#mufc having to sit deep. Zirkzee and Fernandes trying to provide an outlet, then on their haunches when play stops, knackered. Another 10 minutes of this, at least

Sixth straight #mufc goal to originate from a Fernandes set-piece, going back to Maguire's vs Leicester

Genuinely, aside from the red card and his part in one of the worst goals #mufc have conceded in recent memory, thought Dorgu did alright that half

Horrendous mix-up between Dorgu and Onana. Philogene-Bidace taps into an empty net. Tenth time in 14 league games that United have gone behind at Old Trafford this season
