I think it's clear that makes so AI scary isnt the tech, but the context: It comes as the US worker today is underpaid, non unionized and under-protected, doesn't have great healthcare or benefits, and while the income inequality is already so great and growing. Any disruption presents great risk.

Listening to friends--vet, doctor, lawyer, chef, architect-- explain why they HATE their jobs is eye-opening to me. I love my job. I always have. Sure, there's some not-great parts, and many marketing jobs I have turned down over the years, but I'll forever love the art and craft of marketing.

What ICE is doing in our city to our neighbors, is wrong. As are we for remaining silent. I support deporting those here illegally who commit serious crimes--not day laborers or women sewing shirts. Deporting people who have done noting but try to make a life for themselves is morally corrupt. 1/7

Yeah. Thinking abt this a lot because corporate blogs SUCK and need to die first. But slowly. SEO optimized listicles and keyword dense tutorials come next with no personality or POV. What survives? Ppl telling real stories, not just answering questions. Knowledge-rich posts (at least once). 1/3

It's not that liquid glass is in beta and won't ship like this, or that Jobs wouldn't come back to chuck a pen at someone's head if it did, it's that: 1. I don't know why I want to see through the interface in the first place?! What does it add? and 2. Is Apple just an iPhone stock at this point?!

Paging @lindseygamble.bsky.social: You wrote the Reddit change to obfuscate post and comment history could encourage participation and 'improve transparency' and trust. I fear the opposite is true. It just makes it hard to tell if you are talking to a person or AI bots. Sunlight is transparency.

As someone who played lacrosse, I think it's a beautiful game. As a marketer, I think we should stop requiring a unique, 110 yard long rectangle and switch to playing on the same 100 yard football field every high school in America has already. 100 makes the game faster... and for everyone.

What's roblox?Youtube for video games. Brands can build something that some of the 400M kids under 16 can interact with in a game and (hopefully) create future customers. Bold prediction: The addition of AI game creation (on roblox, in-browser, on TV like netflix) is the next frontier for brands.
