It is really really sinking in for me the degree to which LLMs are the ultimate expression of right wing anti-intellectualism. Its proponents are literally mocking the idea that anyone would ever want to learn anything, know anything, develop any actual skill, or have a thought of their own.

The owner of Twitter sends out 100 right wing propaganda tweets every single day and the algorithm is set up so that every single person on Twitter has to see every single one of these tweets. Now here’s another piece about Blue Sky’s ideological diversity problem.

So thankful to Indivisible Baltimore for organizing an enormously successful rally in Charm City. I needed the energy and hope of community today. 5,000 folks showed up to stand together. It was an honor to speak about the importance of this moment. @indivisiblebaltimo.bsky.social

The Tea Party was 16 yrs ago. It’s difficult to describe just HOW HUGE the coverage was. Nonstop articles, TV, “Tea Party Tea Party Tea Party,” and pics and video of older white people saying how much they hated Obama. The difference in coverage today is quite the contrast; it is much more muted.

I promise y’all: marching in step is quite easy. Nothing difficult about it. That bad marching was intentional. I guarantee it.

“God is reaching out to you [to] find[] the ways that we may be able to do something with our own lives to serve others. “And in that service to others we may find that coming together in friendship, building up community, we too can find true meaning in our lives.” www.osvnews.com/full-text-ad...

We’re closing in on the 3.5% rule! 8.6 million and counting! We’re in awe. Lots of events still happening make sure to be counted. Big towns, small towns you showed up.

The March is on at Patterson Park!

""It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy," said Simon..." www.wnep.com/article/news...

From one of the leaders behind the #BethesdaDeclaration

Stopping a clinical trial or research project then trying to start it up years later is like stopping the construction of an aircraft carrier and trying to start it up years later. That fails. There are only so many experts, and so many places to do the work, and they schedule years out.

Double.

W.E.B. Du Bois on Robert E. Lee: “Either he knew what slavery meant when he helped maim and murder thousands in its defense, or he did not. If he did not he was a fool. If he did, Robert Lee was a traitor and a rebel–not indeed to his country, but to humanity and humanity’s God.”

Lee: Would say it would be “illegal DEI” for a lesson plan on the Tulsa race massacre? McMahon: I’d have to get back to you Lee: Do you know what the Tulsa race massacre is? McMahon: I’d like to look into it more and get back to you on it.

Worth noting: • this exchange shows Trump and his education sec’y attacking the most fundamental principle of the US Constitution • the illegal funds impounding is happening at #NIH too • and every NIH employee took an oath to “defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

A win! The Trump administration is backing off its demand that states hand over personal data on SNAP recipients after a lawsuit. In a sworn statement filed in federal court, the USDA said it is pausing its plan to build a national database of Americans receiving food assistance.

"The piling on to Biden is even more mystifying when Trump has been impeached twice, convicted of sexual assault, knowingly prompted an attack on the U.S. Capitol while his supporters chanted 'Hang Mike Pence,' and then pardoned these insurrectionists and other convicted criminals." Denver Post

MURRAY: Will you allocate the $220m for literacy programs that Congress appropriated? McMAHON: We're looking at the unallocated dollars to determine which of those programs we can best spend on MURRAY: Those funds were appropriated. It looks to me like the dept is illegally impounding funding

just think of how many interesting useful important competent thoughtful brilliant people The New Yorker could have interviewed instead of Curtis Yarvin, who is a third rate mind being treated as an intellectual, and that's being generous, and yet here we are.

"The underlying point isn’t to chastise the firms for making the wrong decision; it’s to remind those firms that it’s not too late to reverse course and join the ranks of the firms resisting Trump’s gambit..." www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

yep. I think the big Biden OLD?!?! freakout is driven by the desperate desire among a huge chunk of establishment liberalism to avoid doing anything talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/democ...

This Pride Month comes at a time when the rights and freedoms of countless LGBTQ+ Americans are under attack. We must all stand together. Who you are and who you love is something to be proud of. No president or politician can change that.

This is what’s also going to happen to any university that strikes a deal with Trump. We won’t be able to save any university that collaborates with or is forcibly taken over by Trump. But that university will destroy its reputation and itself. Sadly, FL’s New College is an example of that ruin.

Keep it up.

NEW: Important Context spoke with a dozen people working at NIH about Director Jay Bhattacharya. The descriptions were universally unflattering, painting the health economist as ineffectual, dishonest, ideological, arrogant, and uncommitted to science. www.importantcontext.news/p/out-of-his...

Stop the @bsky.app bashing. We’re all under a tremendous strain. We’re not perfect. I block when I need to, but ignore most foolishness. Don’t become goaded into leaving a platform that’s doing almost all the right things. To organize for 2026, we need to stay in communication w/each other.

Not sure if democracy remains on the docket? My law firm is litigating 53 voting and election cases in 22 states. When we fight, we win.

New data finds Americans are more likely to support labor unions over Big Business than at any time in the past 60 years. We are witnessing a historic rebirth of worker power.  If you want a better life for you and your children, join or support a union.

Jake Tapper's book is nothing more than the corporate media trying to shift the blame for 2024 off themselves. Unsure how people can't see this.

This. But for everything

“No children are dying on my watch,” said Rubio. It's blatantly false. Credible estimates count 190K deaths so far. In Kenya, I am seeing devastating impact, incl this child's starvation & many deaths directly caused by Rubio’s actions. More in my @msnbc.com clip. www.instagram.com/atul.gawande...

Paranoia inside the Trump administration is ramping up, they’re now polygraphing their own staff. Everyone in our coalition made it through this week’s round safely.

When Paul Weiss caved, you knew a bunch of their lawyers were going to leave. I'm honestly a bit surprised it's taken this long, even though I know it takes some time to get a new firm spun up and everything.

Let me wish Marty Makary, my former Hopkins colleague, a hearty GFY. I recommend Covid boosters, and my patients, by and large, want them.
