I realize I’m just shouting into the wind here, but: please, please, please stop posting screenshots without links, or summarizing breaking news events without links. There’s a serious problem with unsourced assertions all over the world right now, don’t be part of the problem.

As Bluesky has grown, I've seen a lot of backsliding on alt text. Please try to be considerate to others and include alt text with all of your images. It helps everyone. Indeed, in the "accessibility" setting in Bluesky you can set it to make sure you add alt text, which is a useful thing to do.

There’s a rightful focus on childhood vaccination, but grownups need vaccines too! When was your last TDaP booster? Tetanus can kill ya, and vaxxed adults protect babies from whooping cough before their vaccination. Chickenpox or shingles? HPV? Are you over 50 and can get the pneumonia vax? Do it!

Hardly new info, but BSky should know: Warsaw's water quality is monitored by eight clams with magnets attached to their shells. If contamination in the water causes the clams to close, the magnets trigger an alarm and shut off the city's water supply. Thank you, little guardian molluscs. 🧪🌏🚰
