My main hope for this ruling is that forcing Apple to drop restrictions around outside payments makes them compete on the merits of the App Store itself. I would personally prefer to make all of my purchases through the App Store but it could use some major improvements for buyers _and_ sellers.

My washer runs around 50 minutes. I struggled for weeks to get Siri to set a timer for that amount instead of 15 minutes. I tried different pronunciations and inflections before finally realizing “five-zero minutes” worked. Told my wife this story and she asked “Why not fifty-one minutes?”

Game companies’ insistence on account creation and usage should be paired with the ability to move/merge accounts. Kids are always getting into situations where they end up with different accounts from the same publisher and it causes pain and agony with zero recourse other than “starting over”.
