I am...so, so close to being able to get on and stay on chemo. Especially with my husband's new health insurance (which will start in June). SO CLOSE. If I get 5 more consistent patrons at the $10 tier or 10 more at the $5 tier, I'll be there. By this summer, I could be treating my illnesses 🤯

My Mom's pancreatic cancer was brushed off as 'stress'. My severe protein losing enteropathy was blamed on 'weight gain' My post operative hysterectomy abscess was me being 'dramatic' and 'hysterical'. Very nearly lost my life to that one. Listen to women.

You can tell that people on that writing team for the Lilo & Stitch live action haven't faced the reality of being a caregiver for a sibling OR being too poor to find a path out. The original was so close to so many of my friends and family because their happy ending was just being a family.
