Yes they ARE people like you and me. That means they are subject to social contracts like the rest of us. Agents walk into your diner, refuse to serve them. Their kids want to play baseball, ask them to find another team. Nonviolent, consequence based responses to their choices.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

#JurassicPark was released 32 years ago today. Last year, Dad found an old ticket stub in a junk drawer from when we went to see it. Had this made for my bday last year. Note the enormous price for the matinee: $4. Had it framed for me. If only I could get it signed by the original cast.
