The automated accts (radio stations that post every song they’re playing, etc.) tend to clog #hashtags and create even more friction to using them … but I feel like most folks here don’t anyway, it’s kind of a shame.

Have any philosophers of language, semioticians, etc. done work on LLMs – e.g., as a sort of "machine writing" whose output is a pure recombination of signifiers? Or is it just not that interesting, lol

Right now, I'm following a cluster of Bluesky dev / ATProto folks. This should be a clear signal – why can't I be recommended similar accounts to follow, if not a feed of related posts? I think the MyNebula(+) feeds had a similar concept, but they seem to be broken now.

Another idea would be to assign you (again, voluntarily) to a random “pod” of accounts, where everyone gets a firehose feed of what the others are posting. (This is just a feed idea, I’m sure it’s easier than the auto-follow thing…)
