btw if you celebrated Luigi Mangione you don’t get to be upset that ideologically motivated murder is a double sided coin

It would do wonders for my sanity if the media would stop acting like RFK Jr is just someone with good motives but misguided, and instead transparently present him as someone actively trying to ensure the destruction of American public health and endangering millions.

House Democrats need to bring articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem, while Senate Democrats need to bring that chamber to a fucking halt.

the feigned outrage as always is cynical and calculating and completely forgotten a week later as stuff like the comey news cycle ended and a new feigned outrage gets promoted

And this is why having American aviation communications rely on Starlink was always a terrifying idea

it’s funny that they’re both on their own personal websites posting their little posts

When Americans raised concerns about RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine views, he said he was "not gonna take away vaccines from anybody." But now he's taking them away from millions of mommas and babies. Vaccine recommendations should be based on science, not RFK Jr.'s political agenda.

FWIW, Walgreens doesn't ask for details when you click the box that says you have a preexisting condition for vaccines

it’s pretty remarkable how the Democratic Party is self-flagellating more in 2025 after swapping out their candidate and losing the popular vote by 1.5% than republicans did in 2021 after losing the popular vote by 4.5% and inciting an insurrection

the thing thing about the admonition to “not take the bait” is that while it makes sense in the context of an election — where you are trying to communicate a narrow set of ideas broadly — it does not make sense in the context of “how do we make this president as unpopular as possible”

me: I'm done with the pope posts conservatives: we are having the worst day of our lives, woke marxist pope will give your kids gun control & health care in their sleep me: I would like a few more pope posts

if the vatican truly understood the hustle they'd rent out their chimney for gender reveals

just so we’re all clear: the reason they keep using dolls as their example is because they’re trying to frame caring about material stuff as feminine and thus inherently shameful

“And I’m like, what do you mean, you ‘do your own research’? You running a double-blind study in your living room, dawg?” - A guy walking ahead of me with his friends on a NYC sidewalk in 2021, also my favorite overheard dialogue of the entire pandemic

It’s wild to hear Up First and @steveinskeep.bsky.social feature an interview with Steve Bannon without giving the context up front that he’s been an alt-right, racist Neo-Nazi figure for years. Just complete normalization of the former editor of BREITBART, for crying out loud.

This is the type of thing that poorly run private companies are doing on a smaller scale constantly and a great example of why “we gotta run government like a business” is a grade-A dumb guy’s idea of what a smart guy thinks

My best guess is the “fire Powell” Rhetoric is not really about actually firing Powell, though I’m sure he would love to do it. I think it’s more about turning Powell into the new Fauci and the Fed into the CDC. He needs a scapegoat so his followers never blame him for the failures ahead.

We do not have to take Trump’s bait on DEI, because they do not care about some policies being “problematic.” They are disengenously using DEI to target civil rights protections, DEI is a prextext, and it is not reasonable to concede they have a point when it only helps their reactionary push.

This is asinine. “They look down on you because you live in rural America!” is a right-wing myth and Democrats’ policies are objectively better for working class white people than Republicans’. These people aren’t victims of ‘both parties,’ they’re victims of propaganda.

The government isn't doing universities a favor by channeling federal funding through them. It's using a private entity to realize public goals, to accomplish things that benefit the entire nation. You'd think conservatives who call for privatization all the time would grasp that.

If you are a journalist interacting with RFK in any way about “finding the root cause of diseases” can you please always qualify it with the fact that he doesn’t think HIV causes AIDS, thinks that pesticides from food production are turning frogs and children gay, and thinks that WiFi causes cancer?

Deciding which of a three-person friend group I’m going to keep following on Instagram today. They all re-share every single picture from each others’ stories, so I only need to follow one. (So tired of seeing every picture 3X.)

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.
