Today was the final day of seeing my form group. The messages (every single one) really touched me. Thank you to all of them! This gives such a wonderful reminder of why I felt called to go into teaching the next generation!

Video checklist of my "best guess" topics for Core Pure Paper 2 (Edexcel) 2025. Hope this is useful to any A Level FM teachers and students mrmanmaths.wordpress.com/2025/05/20/c...

Just submitted a workshop proposal for @lasalleed.bsky.social's #MathsConf38!

In #Mathstoday, tackled Paper 1 (Edexcel) Higher that the Year 11s been doing this morning. My pupils seemed to find it okay. When talking to the Maths team, we all want to give thanks to those provided predicted papers. But our shoutout goes to @draustinmaths.com for providing brilliant resources!

First day of the new term - and straight into delivering the final day of "Developing A Level Pedagogy" for North Bromsgrove High School, GLOW and @ncetm.bsky.social. Really looking forward to getting the participants engaged in linking pure mathematical modelling to statistics and mechanics!

My Easter read! Great work from the @justmaths.bsky.social Justaroo team! Highly recommend for the last push for Year 11s!

Absolutely love these MathsConfs! A brilliant way to reenergise your teaching!

Thanks so much for the lovely review Jo! #Mathsconf37

Thank you for coming to my workshop! It was lovely to chat to you ☺️

Lovely day at #mathsconf37. I learnt a cool fact about Rubik’s Cube colours and discovered some gold dust on ExamWizard. Loved all the sessions I attended and enjoyed catching up with everyone. Also enjoyed delivering my session on factorising. 1/2

Final workshop on having fun factorising! Looking forward to @mathsjem.bsky.social's talk! #Mathsconf37

Factorising quadratic expressions using ratio tables. Lovely stuff @blatherwicksam.bsky.social! #Mathsconf37

I really like the link with ratio and multiplication squares. @blatherwicksam.bsky.social #Mathsconf37

Workshop 4 of #MathsConf37 - looking forward to hearing from @blatherwicksam.bsky.social on "magic" multiplication squares

What a stinker of a question got challenging Higher Y11s - from Maths Advance featured in @mr-man-maths.bsky.social talk at #MathsConf37

And now @mathsadvance.bsky.social is challenging all of us to be in the learner's shows and gets us all to really struggle on the Maths. #MathsConf37

Loving the red area triangle question from @mathsadvance.bsky.social #MathsConf37

Workshop 2 of @lasalleed.bsky.social #MathsConf37 - @mathsadvance.bsky.social on problem solving!

Workshop 1 of #MathsConf37 - reflecting on what Rebecca Sanders is talking about a common core curriculum for KS3. This leads me to think about reviewing the A Level curriculum for Maths and Further Maths for my school and the consistency of booklets used. @lasalleed.bsky.social

Preview of my workshop on "Using 'different' exam questions to prepare Year 11s for A Level Maths" Do these questions pass for GCSE and A Level crossover? Hint: They are not from a GCSE paper! Discuss below! #MathsConf37

🚨 Today, we start our π Challenge Series leading up to our Friday Social on π Day, 14th March! 🎯 🧮 Use your birthday (DDMMYY) as the numerator of a fraction over 100,000. How close is it to π? 🤔 📩 Submit your answer. The winner will be announced on Monday at 7 PM! ⏳

🚀 We’re excited to present another brilliant #MathsConf37 workshop! 📚 Using “different” exam questions to prepare Year 11s for A Level Maths 🧐 This one will be run by @mr-man-maths.bsky.social 👉 Learn more about this workshop and book your ticket here: completemaths.com/community/ma...

In #ALevelMaths today, our @ncetm.bsky.social GLOW Maths Hub workgroup planned, delivered and reflected on a lesson for my Year 13 group on modelling with trigonometry at North Bromsgrove High School. Pupils were brilliant, the participants enjoyed it, and all of us are now inspired from this!

Excited and nervous about delivering an #ALevelMaths lesson on modelling with trigonometry for GLOW Maths with nine teachers observing and collaboratively planning together! Wish us luck!

www.northbromsgrove.worcs.sch.uk/News/North-W... Feeling proud to lead the Chinese New Year celebrations with colleagues for my school. It's great to see so many students and staff experience more about celebrating festivals from different cultures!

www.ft.com/content/aca9... The AMSP (formerly FMSP) has helped myself to complete A Level Further Maths when I was a student, helped me to develop as a Maths teacher with the TAM and TFM1/2 courses and now as an LLME for GLOW Maths Hub with their support. This decision NEEDS to be thought again.

Every year in the spring term, I run a series of information sessions for our first year (year 12) students on the main STEM admissions tests (TMUA, MAT, STEP, PAT, and ESAT) Sharing my slides for the 2025 sessions in case they're useful for anyone 😊 wykecollege-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/person...

A few ideas for maths activities linked loosely to the Chinese New Year theme: https://buff.ly/40PpWUT This year's date falls on 29 January, with 2025 marking the Year of the Snake. #mathsresources #mathschat #mathstoday #mathchat
